Swing away rear tire carrier feeler

Very commendable effort. Am buying. Pity it is mounted on the wrong side of the rear window, i.e.taking more than half of its height. Wouldn't be a better idea to swap location of this spare wheel with that of the number plate? Any illuminating ideas?

one side of my LR3 had lowered

Perhaps digressing from the initial start of this thread but within the bounds of this topic, would anyone know of any consequences of parking the car in Extended or Off road mode for days on end? Or repeated overnight parking? Could it be of the sort described in these messages or could this...

    LR3 Tire Question

Agree with PaulLR3; got back from a trip along the KSA / Q border (pls refer my last pic) and all my GY HP's were scarred and bruised beyond any description. I must confess keeping up with a bunch of local drivers on their Cruisers and Patrols was not that difficult, though pretty tricky at...

    Park Brake fault

EPB fault This morning, am ready to go to work but my EPB decided not to let go. Luckily, depressing slightly the accelerator pedal did do that with some sort of a ****. Phoned the dealer and am taking it for a check this Saturday. Will inform of outcome(s).

    255/70r18

Thanks natecowen for the enlightment but apart from these issues of rubbing and mileage, isn't there any other issues like those to do with gearbox and driveshafts mechanisms. In my previous LR's Disco 2 and FreeLander, I bitterly had to replace few things at a fairly dear price. Looking...

    Spare Wheel Location

Thanks nwoods for your good reply. Quite agree the assymetric liftgate is a fantastic idea and the spare wheel should be on the left hand side freeing optimal back vision; but what about the number plate and all. Should go on the right hand side, shouldn't it. Our plates as well as those...

    Spare Wheel Location

Ladies and gents,Would appreciate if anyone out there advised possibilities of having the spare wheel from my LR3's crotch and onto its back; something similar to the old D2 but on the right (good) side?** Could LR one day correct the asymmetry of the back window so as to allow the mounting of...

    Wheels

Thanks Rich for your efforts. Very commandable. Now the question is what if I go for a GY MTR LT275x60x18 (very recommended over here for any off roading of any significance) what spacer thickness do I need to avoid any rubbing and yet without any effects on the Diffs / steering, etc...

    Wheels

Dear all,:creep: Thank you for receiving me amongst you. It's good to be here and share some :cool:thoughts and / or feelings towards the same things. I'd like if I may query this basic physical attribute of my LR3 wheels size that are presently shoed with the standard HP 255 60 18R, if...
