Tow-ball bike racks that allow the upper tailgate to open?
I'm planning to buy a "hang" type bike rack since my "platform" type rack is a bit big and bulky for just chucking a few bikes on the back to go to the local trails. Does anyone know a current rack that allows the tallgate(s) to open? Upper only would be fine, if this avoids a complex heavy rack...- Fraser Stephens

Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) capabilities
I have a 2012 HSE imported from Japan and it is clear some CCF work has been done, eg changing FM frequencies. An update for completeness: The garage managed to drill and (I assume) easyout the snapped bolt and the repair was completed. Various other parts were replaced (front timing plate?) and lots of labor charged, but as it was the dealer paying at least I didn't have to remortgage my house. Timing...- Fraser Stephens

Thanks Jlglr4 Nothing in my config menus :-( My VIN Decode says "Light Sensing Headlights - Automatic Low Light Sensing Headlights [064CY]" amongst all the other options - the original buyer ticked most things :-) But clearly some reprogramming has taken place when the car moved from Japan to...- Fraser Stephens

Thanks for this reply - very helpful. In my case I think the car should have auto dipping headlights and voice control but neither are active. Minor things and everything else I think it fine - apart from the infotainment system, where the rear seat system can get the CD player and radio, but...- Fraser Stephens

I've read the posts saying how useful the IDD tool can be for fault codes, resetting battery monitor, DIY servicing etc and I think that might be reason enough to buy one! (I'm perfectly happy with the ride height as it currently is) What I don't know is if the tool could be useful for updating...- Fraser Stephens

Snapped crankshaft bolt
My local garage was doing the timing chain and tensioners on my 2012 V8, and sheared the crank bolt trying to get it off. Goodness know what torque this took! The bolt head is interesting: the markings are not clear, so I (and they?) can’t know if it is a left or right threader... and the flats...- Fraser Stephens
