Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

They will rub - but only under fairly extreme conditions off-road. Many people don't take their vehicles into that kind of environment, so don't experience it. Hit a sand dune at speed and you will most certainly feel it. Cheers, Gordon

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

No, tbe rubbing occurs when the wheel is at maximum articulation ie pushed up all the way into the wheel well. Playing with the static heights doesn't affect the wheel travel (although it's harder to make the wheel travel that far). Cheers Gordon

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

The 265/65R18 will fit in the spare area if fully deflated (ie remove the valve!) and you remove the fibreglass heat-shield. Good luck getting the tow receiver in though! The size will rub the front of the rear wheel well liner when at full articulation. Cheers, Gordon

18 inch wheels for off road

In RockCrawl there's over 12000psi at the calliper - the larger surface area allows for finer control of the wheel speed deltas. Cheers, Gordon

18 inch wheels for off road

The larger discs (and callipers) on the D4/LR4 were fitted primarily to improve the traction control performance. The D3 would fade earlier on long-haul offroad treks where the TC was in constant use. It also allowed the programmers to improve the performance of the RockCrawl setting, amongst...

    Strut or suspension failure?

Primary suspect would be the height sensor then. Cheers, Gordon

    Strut or suspension failure?

It could be a height sensor (failing / out of calibration) if it's constantly lower, or are you saying it physically drops 1" when you park? Cheers, Gordon

    Llams height controller added

Neither LLAMS, rods nor IID gives 100% over-ride of all fault conditions. If the generated fault's default action relies on the height-sensors' input, then both LLAMS and rods will over-ride the fault-activated height (usually access). However, if the fault ignores height sensor value (eg two...

largest 19 in tire that fits

There is a 255/60R19 (31") size available from Goodyear (AT Adventure Kevlar), so quite a bit higher than the OEM. Several manufacturers do a 275/55R19 size, but only as a winter tyre. See: http://www.greenovalexperience.com/#!documents-info/cbbz although this mainly references tyres...

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

Hi Kevin, On the Compomotives, there's no issue getting to access height on 285/60R18's. Cheers, Gordon
