    Air suspension shock replacement

Go for Genuine Shocks.Patten Shocks are ok if you need to put some on to get you home but in my opinion they do not last half as long as the genuine Air Shocks. Mine are coming up for replacement soon. I’ve covered 136000 miles now and have noticed the rubber gaiters are starting to split on the...

    help please

I’ve just had a similar sound on my Land Rover Discovery 3, 2.7TDV6. I found out that my rear offside brake Caliper was seized on. 1. Is your rear wheels getting hot 2. Can you smell hot rubber when doing journeys of 5 miles or more. 3. You have noticed increased fuel consumption. I too thought...

    LOCKDOWN To do List

I’ve been busy during the lockdown. 1st Job I was told I had a very small amount of play on the offside track rod end so purchased two new ones. Both track rods had seized solid and no tool would remove either joint. So I used a heat gun and both popped out easy. Noted the correct number of...

No sound from radio or sound system after sunroof leak into passenger footwell

If you look down to the right bottom of the passenger footwell you will see a black plastic panel covering all the wires your looking for. It’s right next to the door seal trim and the plastic cover that covers the length of the door opening which runs to the rear passenger door opening. This...

    Heated Windshield

If you look carefully at the front windscreen you can see tiny wires running down from top too bottom. Another sure way of telling you use too have a heated windscreen is look at the centre console. If your car had the heated windscreen there will be a switch for it. If I’m right in saying...

New LR3 owner driver seat reclining issue

Sounds like your seat module is playing up or there’s a brake in one of wires too motor. There are relays that work with the seat motor so I’d go for cheapest option first. Buy a relay and try the recliner again.

Faults with new to me LR3

What state is your car battery in. Land Rover Discovery 3 relies on a fully charged battery. When I brought my Discovery 3 after a few days of owning it, my ABS light, Handbrake light and many other lights kept coming on and staying on. Went to Land Rover for help and they said you must have a...

Suspension fault driving fast on twisty mountain road

On my Discovery 3 any suspension lights coming on will store any such issue. What position did you have traction in and what position was your height. If your in the extended mode and you drive over 30mph your car will give notice that it’s about too lower the suspension too normal driving...

    Lr3 fault issues

I had many faults on my discovery 3 when I first picked it up. Found many of them due to water ingress in the drivers footwell. Water can get into all the wiring loom and earthing points usually ending up by either soldering the damaged wiring or replacing the damaged loom. I too had no front...

Who Makes the OEM Brake Pads/Rotors?

It’s very variable on brake pad ware/ rotor ware. It all depends on how much your using your brake and if there’s friction from sticking brake calipers and ware / grooving on your discs. If you do any off roading can cause excessive pad ware. I’m finding my pads last around 15000 miles or 2...
