Undoing a tune - do I need a new ECM?
I’m not an expert on this but if you have a factory ECM you should be able to reflash it. If it’s an aftermarket clone then you’ll probably need to replace it. Any ambient temperature over 85° will start to raise the rpm’s at idle to help the compressor keep up with the heat. I found one of the spacers that sits in between the exhaust manifold heat sheet and the manifold itself wedged in between the heat shield where the connection to the manifold and the cats sit. Rear high mount taillight replacement NOT the worst..
The drips are from the tail light. Check your valve covers for leaks. It’s probably oil burning off the exhaust manifold when they get really hot, the smell is most noticeable after spirited driving. Smart Key Not found - Solution
So did a bit more digging today. The car recognizes the module and can read it. The module itself still shows 0 codes stored. I cleared the BCM codes and nothing has come back. It will still only start when the key is under the steering wheel. When I ask it how many valid keys it says 2 valid...- Jimmy Brooks
