The RR will more than likely be better riding, think of RR the up market of Land Rover so you will get nicer options generally. Weird 97 Disco Brake Issue
Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been on my computer much the last few days. Rock Auto normally has good products and you replaced twice with same issue, that still sounds like something bad. The ABS system in the D1 is garbage in my opinion, but if you pulled the fuse, then that shouldn't... -

Where did you get the Master Cylinders from? -

If you still have it, put the original MC back on with the ABS fuse removed. Your initial issue was ABS not MC. -
2001 Overheating
Welcome to the forum. Yes sadly both the D1 and D2 are known for head gasket issues. Not crazy expensive, but needs to be done before you warp the heads or the block.- joey
