The x5 diesel is awesome, this is my first Diesel engine and I would not trade it for the gas version. Mine is a 2011 at it only has the 6 speed trans and I get 22mpg in normal mixed driving. The meridian sound system is ok, we have the lux so it's the highest they offer. We are still messing with the balance but to me it lacks the thump of the Hartman system. Well after a few days of driving the engine has more power than our 2008 lr3. There is some supercharger whine if you punch it but the engine is quieter vs our 2008. The led markers are on all the time and the xenon's are your high beam flash to pass. I would say no on increasing the bixenon performance.
