Agree with Stuart. If there is room in the cracks to put some Super glue before sanding that would help. Halfords (UK) sell rattle cans of clear lacquer that are ideal for this job. -
Hood will only latch on one side
Isn't it great to get a resolution to the problem, rather than the usual "Yeh, got this issue too". -

I had something similair. It turned out to be the air vent cover on my nearside (passenger) wing (fender). It has previously been removed and wasn't refitted properly. Next time you hear the noise get someone to hold it in place to see if the rattle stops. A long shot I know.- Mart

Lr4 frame sliders / sill plate / steel bumpers

I've just replaced my alternator. The only indication that it was failing was the intermittent loss of digital radio reception. That occurred over several months, until the alternator started whining. New alternator and digital radio restored. -
