Cracked head?
Sorry for the late reply, work kinda took over for a while... I've had the head off, it had been decked and #6 is still getting liquid into it. I am hoping I have time to pull the head again innthe next month or so. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk- MatttheHatt

Shuttle Valve O-ring?
I am fixing to dig into the ABS/SVs a On my 2004 Disco and am looking for a source/size of the shuttle Valve o-rings. The dreaded P1174 and P1171
I was getting those two codes, even after changing several sensors out. Turns out my alternator wasn't putting out the voltage I needed.at the battery, it was only low to mid 12v. Swapped the alternator with the one from my other Disco and high low 14v. Codes gone... Sent from my SM-G965U1...- MatttheHatt

Cracked head?
It is the #6 cylinder that is steam cleaned so I HG failure shouldn't introduce water into the cylinder. I am hoping in the next month I can find time to pull the head and at least pressure test it. Cracked head?
Ran it for 5 or 10 minutes, hoping it was just left overs in the exhaust, but the #6 piston was steam cleaned so I knew it wasn't a head gasket... I was just hoping the PO had somehow messed his assembly up when he had dug into it. Essentially I see two options. 1 cracked block 2 cracked head...- MatttheHatt

Cracked head?
It was steam, not just liquid and it kept steaming for the couple of minutes I ran it. I got this 2003 with the heads off, as a project and the #6 piston was steam cleaned... I fear its a cracked block, but there was no leaking around the liner when I pressure tested the block before putting...- MatttheHatt

I have recently acquired a 2003 LR Disco with the engine apart and a steam cleaned #6 piston. I pressure tested the block and didn't see any leakage, so I put on some new head gaskets and freshly decked heads. It started and ran, but LOTS of coolant coming through the exhaust as soon as it...- MatttheHatt
