please describe more - same issue just happened to me
alarm going off and "hood open" message on the dash. for now, I've just closed the hood hard and seems to have gone away....
Will take what I can get
I should say that I haven't seen the 'cracks' in the assembly that my dealer references -- could be something different from the arm crack issue -- will find out when I pick up the rig.
My dealer is replacing my sunroof assembly
Brought the car in for my final repairs under warranty, had my usual list (e.g., sunroof drain tubes, driver's seat rock, trying to get ball joints, bushings replaced, etc.). Dealer thinks the leak is exacerbated by the cracked sunroof arms and is...
Just put the WRG2s on my HSE
Had the Synchrones on and loved them, but during the last winter storm in NY in early March, I had to drive in the fresh powder and almost had an accident, couldn't stop on an sloping road. When I changed them had 6/32 left.
Decided immediately to put on the...
Please share the name of your dealer that sells Zurich
I have the Zurich warranty on my e39 BMW -- experience has been fantastic -- the comprehensive plan is truly bumper-to-bumnper and their claims are no hassle. Have had radiator, water pump, bushings, window regulator repaired (has more than...
does anybody have real world comparison of WRG2 vs Synchrones?
I, like toddjb upgraded to synchrones a few years back. at the time Nokians were not available in 255/55/19. I'm thinking about going for the WRG2, but curious as to how much better they will be over the synchrones. The...
Can't say enough about Nokians
Hands down, best all around tire I've ever had. They have steadily improved their summer/normal condition performance to compliment their exceptional winter performance. They have also become increasingly quiet and smooth (I've had three generations of the WR)...
Nokian now has a 255/55/19 tire
the WR G2.
I have the synchrones and love them, but would probably have gone for the nokians if they were available when i swapped out my goodyears a few years back. The "all-weather" nokians are tough to beat
I have nokian WR's on my 540 sport and leave...
It's beyond me how i still have 40% all around as I'm a fairly agressive driver (my other car is a 2003 540 sport)! Will continue to monitor closely as no one wants to take chances with their brakes.
Thanks for the input

Hello all,
I have 27k miles on my HSE and like many here have been sensing decreased brake responsiveness so figured it was time to get pads changed.
My dealer says there's nothing wrong, pads have 40% front and rear left. Just got the car back tonight and will road test it myself...
re: RRS wheels
you wont get much help on this board, go to http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/ and check the wheels/tyre forum. Quick answer is: rims are direct fit, but tires will be lower wieght rated, so it would be wise to chaneg the tires.
good luck
