Hello all,

I have 27k miles on my HSE and like many here have been sensing decreased brake responsiveness so figured it was time to get pads changed.

My dealer says there's nothing wrong, pads have 40% front and rear left. Just got the car back tonight and will road test it myself.

I had fairly serious underinlfation on all four tires (enough for the TPMS light to illuminate) that i just addressed before taking the truck in. Fronts were at 28ish vs. 33 psi and rears were at 33ish vs 42.

Question: could this underinflation have given the impression of decreased breaking power?

Thanks in Advance

Absolutely, but at 27k miles, you've stretched your brake life out longer than most of us!

Perhaps most of us...but I got over 50k on my rears and I'm still going on my fronts at 60k!

It's beyond me how i still have 40% all around as I'm a fairly agressive driver (my other car is a 2003 540 sport)! Will continue to monitor closely as no one wants to take chances with their brakes.

Thanks for the input
