The cover sounds good, I'd like to try it out. Last summer in the Mohave the ambient temperature was so hot in the shade that I couldn't sit on it or it would burn my legs and azz lol. That is probably the only con to being metal besides weight, but metal was my first pick. I've got 29 lbs of...
Ah, yeah now that I think about it a lot of the C5/C6 guys ran them, but I didn't hear about the carbon build up. I was taught that if I run it hard then it cleans the carbon out lol. There was some build-up on the back of my valves when I first got it at 97k mi, but that isn't a big deal to me...
Nice rig. How is your project going? I have a seeping leak, not dripping so I'm planning to replace one of the fluid lines but it doesn't look like that one. The way I verified the correct pressure line was by matching the path of the tube I need to replace in the future to the available...

Good question, I haven't heard anyone ask it. Normally independent Land Rover mechanics (if around) charge less overall, but they may still stick it to you.
I agree with Autozone and it should be up to you to charge it up. I use a 60A charger that has an AGM algorithm when I check the oil. I leave it on all day sometimes and it chills at 13.6V in the end. Outside of that my alternator is fine so I'm grateful for that. 760CCA seems pretty low and not...
The GAP is oversold and illegal since they reverse engineered SDD and resold the software on a device. Its a lot like buying priated TV, but aside from that I'd focus on the missfire. It could be a coil pack, you gotta get your hands dirty and figure it out or hire a mechanic.
Its hard to understand what a shutter means, but it could be the fuel pump going out if its engine related. It would be best to hire a mechanic to diagnose it for you. $175 - $200 would be worth your time.
