    DaytonaRS7 I discussed this with my mechanic and he has checked the guides and chain and all looks well so he is advising against a chain change at this time.

    A quick update on the repair. My mechanic has diagnosed the problem as a sheared timing chain tensioner bolt. It sheared inside the block so he is working to drill it out and replace like for like or oversize the hole and add a helicoil.
