Have 46K on my Latitudes currently and can probably get another 4-5k or so. After much thought am probably going to get them again as well. Was leaning heavily toward the Nokian WRG2s, and would probably be very happy with them, but have been very satisfied with the Latitudes and given the cost...
Understood. On the global site, however, they are marketed as winter only...not all weather. Just interesting they aren't trying to convince the rest of the world the tire can be used all year.
Second set, that is a pretty good endorsement for the ATRs.
Have done some more reading on the WRG2s. Interesting that the Nokian global site does not market them as a 4 season tire, while the USA site does.
The Bridgestone Alenzas also get pretty good ratings on Tirerack.
Yeah, the Scorprion ATRs would probably be my other choice for a year round tire (western WA). Unless something else comes out, it will probably be between these and the WRG2s.
We have run the Hakka R's the last 4 winters and I need to get new winter tires as well. The Hakka R's were very quiet, handled well (not squirmy in truck ruts) and amazing in deep snow. No issues driving in 3 feet of unplowed snow to get to a ski condo in Maine. However, they are scary in deep...
Currently running Michelin Latitudes, which are okay except for the stiff sidewalls. Quite a bit of tread left at 35K when the OEM GY's were done at same mileage. Next set will definitely be the Nokian WRG2s. From all I've read a great all weather tire, especially for PNW weather. I've heard the...
Have had the Michelin Latitudes for about 2 yrs now and they seem to be wearing fine. Not a big fan of the stiff sidewalls. I see tirerack has another Pirelli listed now...the Scorpion Verde. May try the Nokian WRG2 SUV's for my next set.
Thanks for the info. Based on that and just wanting to get it checked prior to being out of warranty, will definitely get the rear diff fluid changed now.
Thanks for the info. I thought it a little strange today that the advisor didn't jump on the chance to change my rear diff fluid. Plus he said he would have to believe that Land Rover made a change to the rear diff since it was a known problem.
Yep, as of now there is no indication of a problem with the new rear diff (2 yrs old, 16K miles). I just wanted to have them open it up to make sure. I honestly don't remember when the howling started on the first rear diff. Figured there could still be a problem developing without me knowing...
Currently it is at the dealer. Am thinking I will take it to an Indy shop (there is a good one in Bellevue, WA I believe) and have them do a thorough check (60K service?) before the warranty expires. Seems like they would offer me a better deal. Dealer told me 60K was $850 today. Can't hurt to...
Got word back. Front pinion seal is the problem and being covered by Ford ESP. Advisor said it was about a 5 hour fix. Looks like I will recoup a little bit from my warranty at least. Had thought for sure if I purchased the warranty nothing would go wrong....and if I didn't purchase, of course...
