Rear Climate Control
I use it only when people or the dogs are in the way back. Otherwise, it’s way too noisy, so I leave it off. I don’t see a difference in the front seats with or without it. -

LR4 v. New Disco
The new Discovery appears to be like the Evoque which I drove as a loaner. NO visibility out the windows, and the driver seat is not in the command position that the LR4 shares with the MBZ M and the Escalade. LR4, hands down. -

Our used 2011 LR4 HSE LUX had some wonky problems with the air suspension. The LR dealer here in Santa Barbara replaced the older version under a 3 year warranty with a new and different one. Get window tint or keep factory painted glass "as-is"?
What does the LR4 come from the factory with? The salesperson told is the skylights have a lot of UV protection, and with the perforated screens, it's almost 100% UV protection. What about the front side windows? And what UV protection is in the rear dark windows? I can't find any info online... -

Siri on Nav in LR4
All the iphone apps are great, Apple maps, Google maps, Waze, etc., but the driver still has to pick up the phone to ask Siri to dial a number or get a direction. In California, where I am, that's breaking the law and subject to a very expensive ticket. I'll try to recreate the iphone's... -

Yes, we were sort of incredulous, but I had done a request for directions "via transit", so that it would go to google maps instead of apple. Lo and behold, it started showing the route on the nav screen. We had to hit the + several times to get it in scale. The next time, when it didn't go... -

I have a 2011 LR4, with the nav. The other day, we used the iphone5 to get directions, and the audio came through the car speakers, and it even showed the route on the map. Then yesterday, I did what I thought was the same thing, and the audio was only through the iphone, and the map didn't... -

Led running lights on LR4 2011 HSE LUX
led's AceRider, I find that what I really want is the led's only, just for visibility (by others) while driving in traffic. I imagine the life of the led's will be longer than mine, so I don't have to worry about wearing out headlamps (I have the bi-xenon. I don't want to ask what they cost)... -

2011 LR4 HSE LUX Vision Assist Running Lights(?)
I did get them to work, clicking the headlight controls once to the right for parking lights. The front halo, side amber lights, and some red leds in the taillights will come on. It will show up on the right in the panel as parking lights, and the car will ding to let you know they are still on... -
