Showoff Your LR4
Little different than having a pickup, but a roof rack is actually a lot better with lumber than a short bed. Only annoyance is the hooks on my tie downs are kind of useless now. Replaced a bunch of the hooks with some spliced three strand loops so I just girth hitch around the rail.- scapistron

Solenoid Leak
While looking for a good recovery point* on the front of my '15 LR4 (SCV6) I noticed a bunch of oil on various lines under there. Blinking headlight
Headlight design is really nice on these. Pop the grill off, slide the two tabs up and the whole unit pops out. Don't lose the rubber on the back of the unit.- scapistron

2016 SCV6 Bank 2 misfire
Bit of a long shot, but low effort to swap plugs and coils between 1 and 4. Little bit more effort and you can include 2 and 5. Also give you a chance to look at the plugs.- scapistron

Funny you ask. Remember that generic scan tools can show a misfire on 2, 4, and 6 but if it actually throws a code you'll see that it is indeed 4, 5, and 6. Land Rover changed the cylinder numbering and a lot of aftermarket scan tools will be off on cylinder identification. I have swapped in...- scapistron

I was just looking around to see what else I can monitor in real time. Cam position sensor for the inlet and exhaust on bank 2 are both sloppy compared to bank 1. I have not done a smoke test. When it misfires bad you can feel the vibration and get a little bit of hesitation when applying throttle. Lambda equivalence is always rich during bad misfires. So not enough oxygen and / or too much fuel. Been like this since I got it. I don't smell an...- scapistron

Didn't have a ton of time last night, but measured compression on 1 and 4 because they're the easiest. Cylinder 1, 180psi. Cylinder 4, 190psi. I've been focused on watching the live data on the air mass meters. Blocked off one MAF at a time so air had to go thru only one while the other read zero. Vehicle is new to me, it may have overheated. I was told the crossover pipes were replaced. I've been using a thinktool with the big touch screen. I do have a GAP tool as well, I'm just more familiar with the thinktool. It is possible that the thinktool doesn't have the right cylinder ID...- scapistron

Two new MAFs and two new pre-cat O2 sensors, two new post cat O2 sensors problem seems to be persistent.
