It has been a bit since I've done this. I cut one of O2 sensor wire hangers back. Removed the transmission cross member. Removed the passenger side cat. Removed driver's side cat.
I did this on my back in the driveway.
For some random bits I've had good luck on eBay. I needed just the plastic clips for the bottom of a window. JLR would only sell the whole assembly. I messaged a seller asking for just the clips and we were able to make a deal.
I loved having the tank out in the mountain west. I topped off on gas before entering Yellowstone and pretty much drove around for a week and didn't refuel until I was in Jackson. Helped a lot on the interstate too. Half as many fuel stops keeps you moving right along.

The fuel injectors are noisy and it is there to cut down on NVH. I run no injector covers, no main cover*, and no hood insulation.
*On some vehicles (Audi?) that foam engine cover prevents the paint on the hood from overheating.
Find someone with a 3d scanner and get a sheet of plywood cut to fit. Put some neoprene rubber on the backside and an array of T-nuts for anchor points.
I got my LR4 back a couple of days ago. 8199 miles at 16.1mpg from Massachusetts to Utah to all around and back.
