Defender vs. Mazda mx5.

Poor man’s CarPlay installed

It’s pretty involved from what I read, easiest with the body off. I’d do everything I could to avoid it. Have you tried resetting the adaptations, and verifying the fluid level etc? Have a read of this older thread.- Stuart Barnes

Transmission oil leak........
You can warm the new fluid before you put it in the transmission as well. It lessens the time you need to run the engine for. The temp stipulation is only there because of the coefficient of expansion of the fluid to get the correct working level.- Stuart Barnes

Yes. The torque reading on your wrench is calculated from the center of the square drive portion. The extra lever action of the special tool determines the calculation.- Stuart Barnes

Not sure on that part number. But the correct one is LR090489 this is for the module with the black top, silver dial The Land Rover name for this part is “module -transfer shift control” Mine failed earlier this year and it was a nightmare to get a replacement.
