I saw your link before, but 2 week without radio its not possible for me
the other option is to purchase the aux interface for land rover radios,
the sound quality its perfect but you lose the external Cd changer...
the tape player was made to play tapes only not electronic devices our radios use sensor that detects the tape film or any damage and stops or switches to the other side

IT is very hard to get the wiring, just sale it with out the cable all discovery from late 1998 to 2003 that have leather seats are prewire for a cd changer under the seat
WHAT AUX INTERFACE ,MODULE,CABLE YOU ARE USING ?
I know that the soundgate abmw35 was having that problem and there was a fix for it a resistor on the ground wire of one channel
