Tape player help!!

I have a 97 disco and i use my tape player to play my ipod but, somehow my tape player is saying that it is on side 2, wondering if anyone knows how to put it back on side 1. thanks

I had a simlar problem when I purchased my ipod cassette tape adaptor. I realized that it was due to the tape player not being able to turn the spokes in the cassette adaptor in one direction or the other. To remedy this I disassembled the cassette adaptor and took all the gears out of it so that the spokes spin more freely. That did the trick. Hope it works for you.

the tape player was made to play tapes only not electronic devices our radios use sensor that detects the tape film or any damage and stops or switches to the other side

I think for about the same cost of the ipod adaptor, you can buy an aftermarket in-dash CD player that has ipod capability...
