pull the front driveshaft off and voila 2wd. Don't see an advantage though. And those one or 2 days you want 4wd it'll be way inconvient to put the driveshaft back on. The transfer case is a "full time" 4wd. If you want selectable 2wd then you'll need a new transfercase and then the front...
I would like to know the answer myself as my box is leaking (only 86,000 miles doh). I have been tempted to try it but if someone has done it first and could share.....
