    AC Leak

2015 Lux. Looks like we have a bad leak in the AC, thinking either expansion valve or evaporator, as driving a few weeks ago, all of a sudden strong freon smell, then AC stopped blowing cold. Now just a faint smell when we accidentally turn it on. Anyone replaced either of these parts? I'm...

Code P2066: Fuel level sensor B circuit range/performance

I am researching, and wanted to post here to see if anyone has seen/experienced this code. I did not find anything when searching this forum. I'll post as soon as I get more info. I did clear to see if it returns. BTW, it's "Historic" so may not still apply, or return, but would still like to...

Is this a failing crossover pipe?

yes, prob in several threads, I posted my list (SCV6 for mine, but it still gives you an idea as to what to replace) in one of the threads, and I've seen list in others. IF it were my truck, bare min would be WP,Therm, Front and rear cross pipes. But then in addition to those, I went ahead and...

Is this a failing crossover pipe?

I'd buy OE (NOT OEM) everything for the cooling system. Make sure it is Land Rover Brand. AB is notorious for misleading their products if you don't know what you are looking at. When I did my complete cooling system refresh, I just found a LR dealer that offered competitive prices online and...

    Drivers Side Floorboard Wet

I skimmed thru the tread so please excuse me if this is redundant. After you've fixed the source, the real work is removing all all the trim and seals to lift up the carpet and all the wiring, so that you can properly allow the truck to dry. I had same issue, (clogged drains) removed/lifted up...

    Seeking Specialty Torque Wrench

FWIW: I have 3 CDI, and 1 Precision Instruments Torque wrenches ranging from "inch" pounds to 250ft lbs. I gave all of my old Craftsman TW's to my son-in-law, and purchased the CDI's and PI's when I was doing the Timing Chains and Vanos on my L322, and the Engine on my Defender. I have one...

    HD vs non-HD package LR4

My wife has a 2015 Lux with HD. Will NEVER be fully utilized. 105,000 miles with oil changes every 7500 from 0-38k. 38K to 105 every 5-7k. She might trade up to a Landmark White/Beige with lower miles and equal maint to offset the HD loss. She will never take this truck offroad!

Towing - I Have Not Done My Homework...

I’ve towed a heavy u-haul car trailer loaded with a BMW X5 for 500ish miles with no problems what so ever and no hitch ball reversal. I’ve also towed several other smaller cars (e46’s). I can’t imagine what your towing will exceed the weight of the X5 and car trailer combined. Regarding ball...

    Advice on peeling dash

Just noticed the other day that some of the white boarder material at the windshield edge of the leather is starting to show in a few different area's due to the leather starting to shrink. 2015 LUX with extended leather. Dash replaced under warranty around 2018. I tend to look at the dash thru...

    Engine smell when flogging it

I still flog/track my 37yr old 930 with 150k miles. Original internals never been apart. I’d say it’s elderly. I hammer it several times a week.

Interesting read on Diff fill capacities.

I’m going to start using fill hole. Much easier to periodically ck levels. Had to drain and refill just to ck levels in frt/rear.
