Why are '13 supercharged RRS's relatively inexpensive?

I'm in the market for a '13 RRS (love the look), can't help wondering why the SC's are just a few grand more (all other things equal), particularly because when new, they are substantially more. I suspect its because there are major mechanical concerns with the SC's over time? I've read a few...

    Not selling tires... yet.

Short update, doesn't seem like I can delete or edit this thread either.. lol. Going to hold onto these for a bit longer. I might end up buying a RRS in near future, will keep these to throw on there. Short of it, sold my LR4 for an Allroad (lots of reasons here I wont' get into)... and while...

    Not selling tires... yet.

I don't seem to have enough privileges to post to classifieds. Nod to the mods here for doing a fantastically terrible job of making rules, but not posting about what they are... or having them make sense. Anyway.. Selling 4 like new wheels + tires, including TPMS sensors. I purchased this...

    I've Been An Idiot

Look at it this way - you do your own brakes (and other work i'm sure). That adds up to big dollars saved over time. You're not (i dont think at least) a professional mechanic. Sometimes you screw up, nobodies perfect. I bet you the amount you've saved on doing your own work still far eclipses...

    Gps maps update

Agreed. Audi uses Google Maps too. I love using the LR Nav because of the display (I don't like having to look down at my phone).. But hate that the LR maps do a terrible job with traffic, or non existant. It's super frustrating, and worst point. Sometimes LR time to arrival will be more than...

    First Impressions (Going from MY13 LR4/NAV8 to MY16 LR4/SCV6)

I totally respect what you're saying, I suppose I'm just unsure of where you're coming from. I have not driven any difficult trails, so I cannot offer the experience you do. I honestly don't understand the need to look down though, and the efficiency loss with the rotary knob. When anyone first...

    First Impressions (Going from MY13 LR4/NAV8 to MY16 LR4/SCV6)

Let me just say - I love the rotary dial. It's super refined, and aesthetically way more pleasing than an antiquated column sticking out of the middle of the car. The whole "I need to look down at the dial" thing is a little BS. After a few hundred miles, if you cant figure out and remember that...

    2016 Speaker Sizing?

Ah, thanks for the help on the Sub. Yes, I already installed a set of Audison Voce 3 way components in the front, and 2-way components in the rear, as well as had the doors dynmatted to get rid of the vibration (though minimal) that was present. Sound is much better, and I'm super happy with...

    2016 Speaker Sizing?

I'm having zero lucking finding any diagrams or clear info on what size speakers I have in a 2016 with the Meridian "17" speaker upgrade. The normal places I'd go to like Crutchfield don't have any info. The front and rear doors are easy - 3 way 6.5 in the front; 2 way 6.5 in the rear. But...

    Installed 275-55-20 tires on 20x9.5 +32 wheels

Paxton - I actually did get the IID late last week. I lifted it 1" all around, and still rubbing - though less. Just for the hell of it, I put into extended lift mode, which lifted it another 3" (so now at 4" total from stock), and it just barely rubbed.. So my guess is that it's just a...

Is this possible to remove '16 LR4 running boards?

After just doing the removal myself 3 days ago, i can confirm - you can reinstall them with no issue whatsoever. Now in my situation, I installed rocksliders. To do this, I had to remove all the plastic yellow retaining clips, and the trim piece - so the new units could sit flush against the...

    Thoughts/experience on Mechanical Breakdown Insurance

Thanks Paul, great points. Add to that the $250 deductible per occurrence. When I had my Subaru and the complete bumper to bumper extended warranty, I think I had one issue that it repaired, which fortunately made it worthwhile. But the majority of issues happened post 100k/5yrs, after the...

    Thoughts/experience on Mechanical Breakdown Insurance

Looking for experience and thoughts on the purchase of mechanical breakdown insurance through insurers like Geico or Progressive. I've never had to purchase these before because the warranty (or extended warranty) i've gotten for all my previous vehicles - Subaru, Toyota, VW - has covered...

    Running Boards

Hi Elinders - I actually JUST removed mine. Brand new (40 miles on them) from a 2016 Landmark. Haven't even put them up for sale. I'm in Portland, OR. Send me a note if you're interested and let me know what you're thinking for price. Todd
