What was Prince Philip driving that would roll his vehicle?

Most reports say a Land Rover; others a Range Rover. From the pictures and video, it is hard for me to tell.

My real question is how could a Kia take out any Land Rover?

They think it was a Freelander 2 - looks like it in the photo in this link as well. Being smaller, that may be why a Kia could roll it.

You are probably correct re Freelander 2 as I do not think any current production Land Rover product has a shiny front grill. I doubt any Kia could bunt a D3 or 4, (which the security guys still drive), and probably not even one of the new Full Fat frameless Range Rovers.

The article says used Land Rover's from the Royal Stables command a higher value on the resale market. I wonder what this Freelander will go for?

At the same time, I do not think this accident will help the LR production numbers very much.
