Lower control arm replacements
Just did this today and the Lemforders are 100% OEM Land Rover arms. You can see where they ground the logo off (badly) and the LR logo is stamped on the arm. -

The maintenance required light isn’t a CEL, it’s listed under dashboard or instrument cluster IIRC. You have to clear it every 15k. -

If you dont have a full size spare and aren't going to get one, stick with the stock size. I'm super impressed with the Toyos in the snow. -

Dont think so. 255/60-19 AT3s 255/65-19 Goodyear Adventures Lots of choices if you keep the stock size.. but, why? The AT3s are tough tires, I'm happy with them. -

for an LR3, but should be the same.. you can lock the truck in access mode. -

I don't think the halogens are that bad. The fogs are terrible, even with upgraded lamps. -

Identify this engine noise
sounds normal to me, these engines are noisy. at that mileage, if the timing chain service needed to be done it would have been done already. -

Correct. The hardware thing has an aux out, that goes into your aux in. To get it to play the audio, you make the source on your head unit "my music - aux in." then click "nav" on the Home Screen and bob's your uncle. -

There are much more tire choices for 20s, just run those. -

That happened to me a few times, I reset the adaptive values on the trans and it stopped. -

The best thing about an unmaintained Land Rover is that they show it. You'll know the difference very quickly between one that's been taken care of and one that's been neglected. -

120k with oil changes every 7500 miles and lots of service history > 75k miles and 15k oil changes and no service history. I bought my truck with under 50k on it, so there really wasn't much history on it. Once you get closer to 70-75k those neglected trucks start to gather up issues. I have... -

Are they still fluid filled bushings? I'm gonna need control arms soon, and was thinking either the Lemforders from FCP Euro bc of the lifetime warranty. -
The Great Engine Oil Debate
It is definitely different oil with a different additive pack, but since all these trucks are out of warranty I wouldn't recommend either. Pennzoil Ultra Platinum is a better off the shelf option, and the boutique stuff like Liquid Moly and Amsoil is the same price as the OEM Castrol and better. -

If they sell a mount for the up to MY21 WRXs, it’s 99% the same. -

The crank failure is purely an issue on the diesels. It’s well documented on ROW trucks. -

There’s no splicing, it’s all non-permanent. Even in the newest Naviplus thing that retains the GPS the most you are doing is going inside the factory monitor and moving a ribbon cable. With the one I bought, all you do in unplug two factory wires, and plug in a new one into the screen and a Y... -

I'd buy it. I want the bigger and more modern screen, but the same "base" LR brain behind it and CarPlay added. That's actually what Naviplus or whatever does. Its the same hardware you can get for $300, but with better software and good instructions and customer service. That extra stuff costs...
