Stalling
Well, cleaned out the MAFs, TB and all the stuff in there, made sure connections and everything were tight, disconnected the low pressure fuel line sensor. Runs totally fine. A code for that sensor, but no other issues. Pulls hard to 90 so obviously no fuel delivery issues. -

Before I drop $500 on a fuel pump.. Noticed a CEL this AM, P008B-00. Truck drove fine. Cleared it. Dropped kids off at daycare. Driving home, truck stalled on me at a light. Then stalled again driving. And again. Restarted with a little extra effort, but otherwise seemed ok. Pulled another code... -

115k I don’t burn or leak any. 6k intervals. I’m considerate but not easy on the truck, it gets full throttle and redline at least once a week. I don’t wheel as much as I’d like to but when I do it gets beat up. -

These engines are stout. If it was timing you’d crash the pistons through the valves and it would be a catastrophic loud and intense event. Sounds like you had a bearing fail or somehow lost oil pressure. Hell, could have hit a rock in the road. -

Do durable side wall tires exist for the LR4?
I have 60k on my AT3s. Decent amount of wheeling, 5 tire rotation every oil change. They’re done. -

My truck smelled for years and then the front crossover finally let go a little over a month ago. I barely added any coolant before that. I replaced everything and it still smells in extreme heat. But so does my wife’s brand new VW. -

Just did the crossovers, water pump, thermostat and a few hoses. Honestly, I should have done it a year ago. So many people hyped up how big of a job it is and I think if I had to do it again I could do it in 4 hours without rushing. Burping the cooling system sucked tho. I should get a vacuum... -

Battery life
No idea what battery is in mine, but it was replaced before I bought the truck. 4.5 years and 60k miles later, it still is fine. I’ve drained it to zero at least 3 times. -

JLR makes metal pipes now. I have a set I’ll sell you, I bought them thinking I could make it work on the NA motor but yea way different. I don’t think the dealer will accept the return. Not my photo but this is them. -

This one looks nice as it integrates into the MOST system. I’ve been thinking about upgrading my Aliexpress one. My complaints with it have been not being able to use the OEM mic, and the crap audio quality over Aux in. -

Tire construction has improved a LOT the last 20 years. A new two ply AT4 sidewall is stronger and thicker than an old BFG three ply. But some things like “3 ply sidewall” stick around for marketing and customer demand.
