    Auxillary Fuel Tank

Those are the BFG KM2 but the current KM3 looks almost the same. A benefit of the km3 is how it's designed to be very flexible at ultra low psi. THe Compomotive are not the only solution for 18" wheels. Look at the Lucky8 website and also check the defender 18" steel/alloy on the powerfulUK...

    Auxillary Fuel Tank

I would have expected that tank to be larger because I have one for the LR3, though maybe it is the other similarly named brand. There was Long Range and Long Ranger LOL. My LR3 can take on 52 US gallons from damn near emtpy. ( I did come up short by a mile one time when I was pushing my luck...

    LUX vs Vision package

Yes, just like it was on my lr3. thanks again !

    LUX vs Vision package

THANK YOU ! At the bottom, I guess the "less" means those are NOT part of the build ? so presumably no towing package which as far as I know would mean the wiring loom and the receiver "adapter" insert just like on the LR3 plus maybe any programming for sway control in the stability program...

    LUX vs Vision package

SALAK2D4XCA614164 Might buy it but need to get a gut feeling on it in person first. VIN check is in part to be sure it's worth the drive. Doesn't have the "extended leather" but seems otherwise fairly optioned. Being a mechanic, thoughts on V8 LR4 vs later models with more highway safety...

    LUX vs Vision package

Hey, are you able to do this for anyone on here? I am considering a 2012 lr4 that has vision, or at least the cameras because the side mirror underside cameras unit is visible in photos. The seats have the single centerline stitching so i think it's a lux, and with the usual lux spec 20"...

Any recommendations for snow tires for 20"?

Nokian absolutely ! Currently in fall 2025, the R5 "suv" non-studded or the studded Haka 10. I have the LT3 on my lr3 in 7x17 wheel but am planning on a 22" version for the v8 130.

    Extended warranty

You should definitely take the paperwork to your dealer service department and ask if they can work with it and if it looks good to them.

    Dashboard Cracks - Repaired

Nasty. No pics needed. I'd live with a few irrelevant cracks or get a new part installed.

    Extended warranty

Thinking you're saving somehow by agreeing to a $100, or especially $250, deductible is a bad plan. You're just adding at least $1000 to the deal, probably more. My ext warranty started at the end of factory and added 4 more years, up to 100,000 miles, paid $4500 at the time, full coverage of...

    Mysterious Hose to Nowhere

Well, 'maybe' is a word people use differently. I'm not sure why you didn't show the bottom end of it but I told you what it was based solely on incomplete photos. Good luck on the next one.

Ha! finally I have a "known issue" to fix on the LR3 - rear tailgate latch switch

Looking over their website, I'm not impressed when a business won't list their location anywhere. Pretty easy for these types to scam you or just flake out.

Ha! finally I have a "known issue" to fix on the LR3 - rear tailgate latch switch

yeah, that's it. Thank you! Dealer said something like 300 or more ! Apparently there is no simple "just the switch" option out there. Going to pull the interior side plastic cover off to see if there's an easy solution like a bad connection.

I don't have my disco II here but I could look under a disco 1. Actually, post it on the FB group land rover owners north america". that'll get the most d2 folks in shortest time

Some suspension fault codes this morning

This is so awesome ! ;) AMK is the newer compressor right? I'm certain that's what I have and am possibly on the 3rd in the vehicle since 2007 when it was probably the Hitachi ? All I know for sure is this one is the 2nd. I may get that line splice kit just to leave in the rear cubby with...

Faults with new to me LR3

How much have you used the bluetooth model? Can you do all of it's functions while rolling or does the vehicle still have to be stopped to actually do things like make adjustments or is it partial like changes you have to stop but checking codes maybe can be done while driving? The model I...

Ha! finally I have a "known issue" to fix on the LR3 - rear tailgate latch switch

this lr3 upper hatch release button apparently does not exist though on the internet, not in a dealer parts diagram, not on AB, not amazon, despite the same kind of thing easily findable for the lr2 and range rover sport

    Mysterious Hose to Nowhere

Well it also appears to START up top under the hood and the poster couldn't be bothered to show where it actually does start underneath LOL. Maybe a diff breather?

Ha! finally I have a "known issue" to fix on the LR3 - rear tailgate latch switch

Update: upper and lower gate internals working fine however it seemed that the exterior "release button/switch" was not working anymore. No sound, no electrical impulse as fr as I could tell but then there was no way to know for sure it wasn't some other receiving part in the system. Lucky...

    Help fitting Terrafirma rock sliders

Here's the deal. Powder coating is so cohesive, thick, and stiff that it kind of becomes it's own structural layer. It's fantastic for objects that don't really make much contact with other things such as architectural items like railings, public sculptures, industrial objects, etc, even...

    Help fitting Terrafirma rock sliders

Sounds like a giant pain the ass plus you are not likely getting all surfaces so rust is happening and you just don't see it. too wet here to think otherwise. The finish, not sure what you mean, it looks exactly like black powdercoating except this one never starts to bubble, flake, etc. They...

    Help fitting Terrafirma rock sliders

yes. well built but poorly finished, thus the strip and galvanize routine. Was entirely worth it though because since then, almost 10 years ago, they've been impervious to the elements despite scrapes and gouges getting past the coating. Powder-coating just steel can almost make it worse once...
