Smart Key Not found - Solution
So did a bit more digging today. The car recognizes the module and can read it. The module itself still shows 0 codes stored. I cleared the BCM codes and nothing has come back. It will still only start when the key is under the steering wheel. When I ask it how many valid keys it says 2 valid...- Jimmy Brooks

Hey all, having some trouble. Today in a parking lot I wanted to plug my IID tool in to get some temperature readings since it was hot today. Tracking down suspension leak
if you really think its the fitting i would try tightening it first. had a D5 that would sag on one side and ultimately take the other side with it. found that the brass fitting was leaking, tightened it and boom, no more leak.- Jimmy Brooks

So bmw makes 2 straight 6 engines right now. They make the B58 (engine in all the 40i models) and the S58 which is in their M cars. The B58 has a twin scroll turbo, the S58 has a proper twin turbo. The B58 (although similar in many aspects) which is in the grenadier, is not the same as the S58...- Jimmy Brooks

Yeah it’s in the M340 right now which has 386 hp and 398 lb ft of torque so if it has the same turbo charger and the same hpfp then with an ecu tune it should make the same (or more) power. Now I’m actually if anyone has tried.- Jimmy Brooks

So I did a bit more digging and decided that if it really was that bushing I could icolate it by lowering the suspension with the IID too and then putting it in access high to minimize movement in the actual strut itself and when I drove over the same bumps it barely made the noise. I run an ****** maxcam 360c which is escorts flagship 360° max series radar with an integrated 2k dash cam. The radar isn’t really necessary for the LR4 but it’s great for road trips and I use it across all the cars I drive. the 2 in 1 is super convenient but that comes with a steep $$$.- Jimmy Brooks

Yeah, I plan on looking into it as soon as I get some confirmation from here that the bushing does seem like the culprit. I'll try to reach out to arnott directly and see if they could help me out and just send me a replacement for $$. hopefully a shop wont charge me too much if i give them them...- Jimmy Brooks

Sway bar links are usually more of a knocking kinda noised. The sway bar mount bushings are more of a squeak. If you go under the car you should be able to see if they’re deteriorating or not.
