Hey did you do the install yourself? I scored perhaps my biggest Craigslist find ever when I found a lightly used Summit bar near me. Even has the fogs and instructions. The instructions I have do call for reusing those 8 bolts that I’ve read people replace with larger pieces for the hidden...
Hey all. Doing some due diligence here trying to have some redundancy on my compressor given a tough experience a fellow LR4 owner shared with me. In his case, doing some off-roading out in the desert, his compressor failed and was forced to drive out 6 hours to the nearest dealer for repairs...
We all like the Lr rubberized mats in the back but I’ve also really liked the Canvasback gear. Just did this “install” to help protect my cargo area. My boys are in their camo phase so, naturally woodland camo for us. I like this setup because they will do cutouts for the d-rings and maintain...
Also would love to see your rig with pics of the KM3s. I’d also guess you should run them to see if they’ll wear in before cutting the horns. But from my limited understanding and speaking to a fabricator, frame chop with a new plate will not damage the frame. The GX460 guys do a lot of frame...
Yeah Knoxville is a wasteland under normal conditions. Scrubby chaparral and hotttt. I don’t see why the main Prosser Jeep track couldn’t be cruiser on oe tires in decent condition. The rocky sections are dry but some areas do look a little jagged.
Hey, that's actually up at Prosser OHV near Truckee. Mainly a dirt bike place but there's an enjoyable 4x4 track too I was exploring. Haven't been back up to Knoxville since all the fires came through up there. Curious if there's anything left up there.
Checked out a local OHV area today just to get the feel for the truck and play in the dirt. No surprises and the trails were very mild. But hey she looks good out in the wild!
Been reading up and exploring different front-end lighting not involving the roof rack. Those a-pillar/hood mounted ditch lights are practically standard issue on the 4Runners these days so I have to assume they serve some practical purpose aside from aesthetics.
Has anyone played with these...
I'd guess that if your original equipment did not include a full-size spare with TPMS, then you'd need to change that to using the tool. You'll find the parameter for the spare listed separately on your tool.
Hi. Took these off the truck promptly after taking ownership. They must have been recently added by a prior owner as they are clean! Located in Napa, CA. Set of 5, with excellent tires and TPMS. Asking $1200 picked up. Need 'em gone!
First I'll admit I didn't know one could calibrate the electronic meter. However, in the Rovers I've owned, the top is "Full", and the mid-point is short.
Communication with Ben and APT has been pretty good as I'm trying to get a quote for front skid and sliders, but apparently there's some glitch with the port or their freight service so there's been a delay in getting shipping quotes to the US. If Asfir is looking too sketch, APT may be an...
So the KMCs look great. Congrats on the setup. Also, I’m sure you saw that huge thread on which 18s fit. I don’t think people on here were “making useless comments that only compomotive wheels fitting”
Any update on which direction you went with switches? Djkaosone's solution is slick and similar to what we do with VW Westys, minus the Cat6, but not familiar enough with tearing into interior trim. Looks like his is basically the same solution as Spod. That BantamX at $900+ is crazy...
Woah very well done! Jedi-level wiring skills you have. So, obviously not your first rodeo. I’m thinking about some camp scene lights as well. If I end up with more than one switch, your method is the way to go. Dare I ask how much of the center section needs to be ripped apart to delete...
Yep, I just did this yesterday. There were three parameters needing to be changed. Spare tire, Tire Pressure Monitoring 1 and Tire Pressure Monitoring 2. I missed one the first time and got a fault. Went back in, saw the one I missed in haste, and fixed it. All good now. It's under BCM-Body...
Hey now, they didn't say whether the lights would be pointing forward! But, I'm new too and it's always helpful to see how others have wired up their lights and accessories. The DIYs are all over the place. I'll be wiring some lights in the near future, on the grill, and will be trying to find...
