The reason is the sticker in the door jam applies to the size and load rated tire from the mfr. A 255/55/19 is going to support different weights at different pressures than a 275/70/18. So to be super-precise about it, there exist load tables, such as what I was referring to above. The tables... -

I tried flicking the lever manually. It’s working now in mine. Maybe it got hung up and visually wasn’t showing locked. Weird anyways. -

Nah in his first post he mentioned he was trying to lock from the door switch. Funny enough. Mine does the same. Sitting in the car, on, key nearby obviously, my door switch lock button, when pressed, doesn't seem to have an effect on the lock switch. I guess I'd need someone outside the vehicle... -

Resetting service required message
I had to try the reset a couple of times myself to get the message to go away. I think what made the difference in my case was I left the tool connected for a good couple minutes after completing the process, then disconnected and shut down truck. At least that’s my theory. Service message... -
