Sooo late to this thread ha. FWIW I run ko2s 265/65 w the 18 in Compos on my 2013. With a Gap tool lifted 1.5in full time, I have no rubbing, spare fits deflated at about 18psi. Ride has been fine on road and hwy. my 2011 lr4 has stock 19in size Geolanders it handles and rides a little softer, the ko2 E rated are stiffer around town but seem equal on the hwy. I ran a285/60 ko2 at first for about 40k miles, this was what I had on my lr3 too. They did slightly rub at full turn bf they wore down. In the end they looked too wide on the lr4 to me.

Loving my Compos and Grapplers!
Question: been playing around with GAP tool. There appear to be several parameters in there related to tire size. Can anyone confirm which parameters to adjust and what values based on tire size?

@CRYA that turned out awesome! how did it do with the spare? Curious to know more about the GAP tool? is is a lift? a rod? please explain, and are you installing it because of any rub with your 265/65r18's?

Thanks! I actually cheaped out on the spare. Was hoping to sell my 19's and then pick up the 5th. GAP tool. You gotta get one. It's a diagnostic tool that plugs into your OBD port and reads faults/codes and allows all sorts of customization via a smartphone app. You can read about it all over the forum. You can get a discount through Lucky8 as well. The tool allows you to change your suspension height and many, many other things. I installed the Compos and programmed in a mild 10mm lift. I'll post some better pics a little later. I'll also use the tool to retrofit paddle shifters and "activate" them to work on my '12 as the 6-speeds didn't come with paddles from the factory.

On my 2015, compos, BFG KO2 265/65 E rated, on bump stops, nothing rubs at all. Had suspension freak out at the end of an off-road day, and had to limp out 1/4 mile. No issues or damage and there was still enough gap for the tow truck to get straps around wheel. Ended up just needing a lift to get suspension extended and all good but excited the wheel/tire combo worked so well.

So I thought after a few 100 miles I'd give you an update on how I'd doing with my 265/65/18 BFG KO2's, @adclark. This includes off-roading for about 45miles in "moderate to difficult" terrain. I gotta say I'm incredibly happy with the switch - they're comfortable, not much louder than the streets, and offroad I appreciated the ability to air down by about 15-20psi and go o

n seriously rough terrain with complete confidence. The extra sidewall and wider width afforded by the tire have made a great difference for me. I am not detecting any rubbing anymore either.

so it turns out there are plenty of wheel options if people are willing to at least look.....

So the KMCs look great. Congrats on the setup. Also, I’m sure you saw that huge thread on which 18s fit. I don’t think people on here were “making useless comments that only compomotive wheels fitting”

It is very clear that there are only 3 "approved" options....Very few suggestions as to anything else. So yeah, i would say that is pretty useless...
