    Front d/s brake sticking

If slider pins are good, and only on one wheel, then more than likely a sticky caliper piston. I've had one stick on the rear of mine in the past. Bought an aftermarket aluminum caliper and saved 20 lbs :D

Camshaft regulator failure - advise needed

I love mine, but feel the same way you do when its damage at this level.

Camshaft regulator failure - advise needed

Wow! Sorry to see that! Maybe Rover Range has seen something like this and can provide feedback.

Camshaft regulator failure - advise needed

Couldnt see the video, but based on your description with the camshaft, it sounds like it broke and the metal particulates you are seeing are a result of the the piecce thats still attached to the timing chain spinning against the other half which is not moving (thats my guess anyway). With that...

What Did You Do To Your LR Today?

Installed the Aerosus front shocks today. 2 year warranty. Includes new hardware and air fittings. Quality seems fine but what the hell do I know :D Job was 2 beers out of a 6 pack in difficulty. Hardest part was getting the airlines and the nut that is furthest inside off/on (lots of less than...

Crazy to consider new engine in a 2016 LR4?

Funny as hell! I joked with my wife and told her the rover has a warning light on so it may be time for it to go. Sent her a pic of tire pressure sensor warning light.

    Battery Age knowledge

Agree with the FL heat tax. When in doubt just replace it. When it goes, it will go at the most inconvenient time.

What Did You Do To Your LR Today?

Transfer case oil change @ 165K. About 1.5 liters and used Royal Purple Synchromax. Looks like a the front seal is leaking a little. Not enough to drip on the driveway, but something to keep an eye on. Front end has been dropping pretty quickly lately. Was hoping it was the front valve block...

Lube Guard Instant Shudder fix - works….RPM fluctuation and trans shudder gone

Ah that sucks! At this point, I think I just do the service. Gone to far to much!

Lube Guard Instant Shudder fix - works….RPM fluctuation and trans shudder gone

Based on what I've read on the fill procedure when doing a trans service. You can only fill so much on a cold transmission. To fully fill it when doing the service you must run the vehicle until it hits a specific warm temp, then you can add the remaining fluid until you get a drip per second or...

Lube Guard Instant Shudder fix - works….RPM fluctuation and trans shudder gone

IMO I wouldnt even bother trying to remove fluid. You've got a couple of quarts of fluid thats going to try and come out on a cold non running transmission. I didnt even use a full single tube and it stopped all shuttering symptoms on mine. I jacked up passenger side after a drive so that the...

Lube Guard Instant Shudder fix - works….RPM fluctuation and trans shudder gone

I used 80% of one 2oz tube and it worked in mine too. fixed bad shuttering part throttle in lower gears, couple hundred rpm drops in top gear. Its been a couple of weeks and no issues so far. Still planning on doing a trans service this winter as its due.

Crazy to consider new engine in a 2016 LR4?

I feel that we are already at a point where we are starting to hit BOAT stage with the older LR's, which is fine as so far its still cheaper than buying something new. Mines been great and I do pretty much everything myself if I can, and intend to keep it as long as I can. If mine ever gets to...

    Engine oil leak?

Power steering resevoir is directly above that area. Maybe trace and check the lines down to the power steering pump?

    LR4 Seat Covers

I need arm rests for my seats. They are all cracked up. I'm actually curious if Range Rover sport front seats would fit (same mount, connectors and pattern?). There are so many being parted out here in FL would almost be better to do a complete swap.

    Transmission Breather Tube Location

Here you go. Best pic I could get. Two gray tubes go to transmission. The clear tube I could not tell. All three on backside of rear crossover as Rover Range said.

    Transmission Breather Tube Location

FYI: I wanted to see if I could use the breather tube(s) to pour some lubegard shudder fix into the transmission as I've been dealing with shuddering for a long time. Obviously a proper fix would be to drop the pan and really get into a trans service, but its hot as hell in FL and I dont feel...

    Transmission Breather Tube Location

As title says, anyone know where the trans breather tube exit location is? I looked around on the firewall but dont see anything obvious yet. Thanks for any info!

Rear Tail Third Brake Stop Lamp

Car wash removed mine for me :D. Im pretty sure there is a thread on here about replacing the cover.

Rear Tail Third Brake Stop Lamp

Ive done mine. Wasnt too hard to do. Used a 3M urethane sealant. Cleaned off the old sealant the best I could on the metal. Apply new sealant, attach washer fluid hose and electrical connector, squish down the new cover. Put painters tape on overnight to hold everything in place.

    Why Compomotives?

Deals can be found. I just picked up a 5 clean 18" Defender steelies in black including tires, caps and lugs for 650 from FB marketplace. Some people price them high because "Defender!" Reality is market is limited as to who is buying these rims so put an offer out there, especially if they have...

Valve Cover Gasket / Front Timing Cover Questions

I did mine myself. Hardest part is probably getting the fuel rails off of the injectors, then pulling the injectors. If your going that far, replace the spark plugs as well. Besides the puller, you will also need to get the injector seal sizing tool (amazon). Theres a couple of good threads in...
