I haven’t seen anything written about the armrest cover replacement process on LR4’s (yes it’s the same on LR3’s) so here it goes:

1) adjust the armrest all of the way down until it moves freely both directions

2) use a trim tool to pop off (gently) the black plastic cap

3) loosen & remove the torx bolt holding it in place

4) pull it to to about a 45 degree angle and wiggle it free.

5) remove the adjuster end cap by tapping it gently. It slides on tight splines.

6) remove and discard old leather cover

7) reinstall in reverse order

8) admire the new armrest!

I need to do this as well. Did you get replacement covers somewhere? Quality? Thanks!
