2013 LR4 I'm new need advice on wheels

It should work fine as a spare, but I wouldn’t drive it on a regular basis. In other words, I probably wouldn’t put it into the normal tire rotation, which is one advantage of having a full size spare. If you have a set of 19’s, why not use those instead of the 20’s. More sidewall rubber is...

2013 LR4 I'm new need advice on wheels

Just to be clear, the rubbing problem is generally against the frame horns when turning. Its the corner of the tire that hits. The extra width will affect this, as will diameter and wheel offset and tread style. Plus, it seems like there is a little variation in how far those frame horns...

    Metal Clunking + Ticking Noises 2015 LR4 3.0SCV6

That does not sound normal to me. If you want to check the supercharger, just slip the belt off and rotate that pulley by hand. It should spin smoothly and with zero play. If you can turn it and feel free rotation before you feel it engage the rotor blades, then that could be the source of...

1-Yr Check-in and Trouble Code Rant

I would replace it. I’m planning on doing mine as soon as the new flanges are available under the recall.

1-Yr Check-in and Trouble Code Rant

@djkaosone Vacuum leak won’t cause a rich condition, it will cause a lean condition. A vacuum leak allows unmetered air into the system, so the fuel ratio goes lean. To battle the lean condition (too much air, not enough fuel), the fuel trims will go positive (adding fuel) to try to get...

1-Yr Check-in and Trouble Code Rant

The only good way to read fuel trims is to run both short and long term simultaneously for both banks along with RPMs. So, five fields: short term bank 1, long term bank 1, short term bank 2, long term bank 2. Then, hold it steady as you can for 20 seconds or so at a few different RPM levels...

Check Engine Light: Camshaft Position Sensor - Circuit Open

These are codes for your VVT solenoids (camshaft actuator, not position sensor). I agree - with all codes showing at once, appears to be electrical. On my 2016 electrical diagram, all have a common electrical control that feeds through fuse 13E (15AMP) and relay 6E. I would suspect the fuse...

1-Yr Check-in and Trouble Code Rant

There was a TSB on the p0089 code that was being fixed with a software update. I had it done, but I’ve always been a bit suspicious of that fix - thinking it might have just introduced a little tolerance for a slowly failing low pressure pump. At any rate, that TSB is out there somewhere...

    3.0 SCV6 - Multiple misfires around 1000rpm

I think your original post said no CEL, so is this new? You said no codes before, so I assume these codes in the screenshot are new. If you are not sure, clear all the codes and see what comes back. From the codes on that screenshot, looks like you still have an oxygen sensor issue. If...

    3.0 SCV6 - Multiple misfires around 1000rpm

I haven’t really done much with the OBD misfire counter, but my understanding is that the misfire counter detects misfires based on the position of the crank just after ignition and determines whether a misfire has occurred based on that position (I imagine the crank moves slower in a misfire...

    3.0 SCV6 - Multiple misfires around 1000rpm

So, to be clear, you have OBD codes for misfires, or are you judging by the misfire counter on an OBD tool? If you have codes, what are the codes?

    OVERHEATING

@rovermom72 It would be helpful to have a little more background on the situation. What, specifically, are the overheating issues? The gauge showing too high, coolant boiling, restricted performance or other drivability issues? Any misfires? Did the car overheat badly in the first instance...

    2010 5.0 P0087 Fuel Rail/System pressure - too low

I have the V6, so maybe different values are available, but my GAP tool has a field for desired rail fuel pressure in pressure units rather than volts. In any event, you can adjust the scale for the graphed units individually, so you can get whatever resolution you want. When you are looking...

    2010 5.0 P0087 Fuel Rail/System pressure - too low

I find it very odd that you would not have misfires with rail pressure dropping off as shown in your graph. The other thing that is odd is - how can you have such a high load without the fuel pressure to sustain it. The engine should stumble when fuel pressure cuts out that badly. You might...

    2010 5.0 P0087 Fuel Rail/System pressure - too low

Maybe the fuel rail pressure sensor? I believe that’s a much cheaper/simpler fix to try than the HP pumps. Could also be a fuel injector sticking open, or the low pressure fuel pump failing. Are you getting misfire codes (I assume yes), and are they random, both banks, or on particular cylinders?

Was the ticking noise gone after the timing chain replacement? Or was it still ticking. By bearing failure, I assume you mean a rod bearing, right?

    P0442 code and CEL - 2012 LR4

Purge valves do go bad eventually, so even if that turns out not to be your problem, it is not a complete waste to refresh that part. Please do let us know if it works. I was corresponding with someone on another forum about a similar issue - strange behavior after fill-ups - and suspected...

    maintenance schedule

If you have the original papers that came with the car, it’s usually in a booklet called “passport to service” or maybe at the end of the owners manual. Otherwise, if remember correctly, you can create a landrover topix account and the maintenance schedule info is available without a...

    Brake Pad Rattle Advice

I’m not talking about pad knock-back. That has to do with the amount of piston retraction and gives the symptom of different brake pedal travel. My pads simply rattle a bit going over bumps. The pad ears are just loose in the grooves, just like CRYA posted above, because the anti-rattle clips...

    2014 LR4 Water pump/ plumbing status?

That looks like the new style front crossover, so I’m guessing the front crossovers were replaced. I replaced mine at 52K and will probably do it again at 100K, as there is no telling how well the new parts are going to hold up. No way to tell about anything else from the pictures. You...

    Brake Pad Rattle Advice

Right after I posted the above, I tried a google search for coated brake clips. I think this is similar to what I took off my car: https://carlsonqualitybrakeparts.com/brake-hardware/quiet-glide-brake-clips/. No idea if it would help.

    Brake Pad Rattle Advice

I have the same problem - and I believe I used the same pads. I think it’s the new clips, not the pads per se. The clips I took off the car (and discarded) had a coating on one side that I think held the pads better. I remember taking those clips off and thinking - what the hell is that...
