    2016 SCV6 Bank 2 misfire

When you had the first round of codes, you had some coil codes there. Do you know if these were old or recent? If you printed them out, might have dates associated. If those codes are recent, that’s where I would focus my attention first - and specifically the wiring harness and ground since...

    Misfiring Cyl 2/4/6 ?? 2015 LR4

I agree that rich points away from vacuum leak, but it seems like sometimes you’re showing lean and sometimes you’re showing rich (I remember it was at 2.0 in one of your posts). (i edited this post to delete some of my own poor logic. misfire itself will not cause o2 sensor to show rich). An...

    Misfiring Cyl 2/4/6 ?? 2015 LR4

Not sure, but I think going lean when you let off the throttle and coast down (in gear) is probably normal. ECM is pulling back fuel faster than the engine is slowing down. A single misfire event on the counter is nothing really to worry about. If it’s setting a code at that point, then it...

    Engine smell when flogging it

Could be an exhaust manifold leak. Couple of people here found their manifold bolts sheared off.

    Misfiring Cyl 2/4/6 ?? 2015 LR4

This is interesting. You can’t drive around too long with the purge disconnected or you’re going to get errors on the EVAP system. Plus that system needs to vent. But the fact that your lambda is better suggests a possible problem. I believe the purge should be closed without voltage. So...

    Misfiring Cyl 2/4/6 ?? 2015 LR4

I mssume you rechecked airflow numbers to confirm the new MAFs are working. If you’re still getting dropouts on that one MAF, could be wiring issue. From your description, it sounds like the engine is missing mostly at idle. You are showing rich on Bank 2, but we don’t know if that‘s cause...

Limp mode and found two weird connections that are not connected to anything

Fuel trims are ideally 0, but +/- 10% is considered normal. That’s at idle. I’d look there first.

    Misfiring Cyl 2/4/6 ?? 2015 LR4

You have two ECTs, one is on the hot side of the system coming out of the block (back of the engine - rear crossover), the other is on the cool side of the system coming out of the radiator (on the radiator hose just below the t-stat in the front of the engine). The cool is side supposed to be...

Smoke on startup after longer trips

That was my reaction when I first heard of the vacuum pump issue. I looked at some diagrams and this is my assumption: The pump receives lubrication from the block. Apparently, when the pump goes, it fails in a way that lets the oil into the vacuum tube. The vacuum tube is joined to another...

    GAP IID Tool help urgent

Did you have a “lift” installed, like johnson rods? if so, i wonder if dropping to the bumps bent or broke the rods. Why were you dropping the car (just thinking it might give us some clue about what has happened)?

    Suspension dropped while in traffic

Mine will try to self-level if it is stopped long enough (few minutes) and on a slight incline, though I’m not sure if it will do that when in drive rather than park/neutral. I don’t see any detectable sag in that photo.

Help! Trying to Narrow down issue. LR4 started bucking and jolting then would not start

Impossible to tell from this description. I’d pull codes, but otherwise probably start with a compression test. If compression is okay, then your valves are okay. If fuel injector, you might be hydrolocked, so you need to open up cylinders anyway. If compression is low, then leakdown test to...

2013 AC not cold - Refrigerant pressure good - Not intermittant

Maybe check to make sure the engine cooling fan is working. One of its main jobs is to cool the ac condenser, especially in hot weather or when the car is stationary. Fan clutch failures are pretty common on these cars.

The Quest for A Durable Front Crossover Pipe

I’ve seen aluminum versions for the V8 out there as well - check ebay and amazon. No idea how good the quality of any of these pipe are.

The Quest for A Durable Front Crossover Pipe

The plastic pipes were updated so they don’t have the same kind of seam as before, but that’s not the most common failure point. The problem is plastic degradation where it meets the block. The redesigned pipes don’t seem to be any better in that respect based on some posts I saw where at...

    Diagnosing AC Trouble

That’s great. If you could post the part number that you replaced, it might be helpful to someone in the future. I’m guessing it was HVAC Temperature Control Panel - LR070848.

    Diagnosing AC Trouble

@lmwong Most of these codes seem to relate to the instrument panel. If you haven’t already done it, I would clear all of the codes, then use the car and run the codes again. See if anything shows up. Then try to reproduce the problem, and run the codes again and see what shows up. You might...

PCV Valve 2016 LR4 V6 - What is this gasket?

Looks like you’ve got an o2 sensor code and an ignition coil code on number 5. Either could cause a misfire, but pretty sure your problem here is the ignition coil as it matches the cylinder misfire. This looks like the scv6 engine, correct? If so, I believe 5 is on the drivers side, middle...

    2015 LR4 SCV6 Gas Mileage

Driving mostly suburban roads these days. Less hwy, more local. I get 13.5-14.5 based on actual data (not the onboard computer). I have cross bars and 18” KO2’s (about the same overall size as OEM). I think the heavy tires made an impact of about 2 mpg compared to the original 20” all seasons.

    Long crank, no faults

By both grounds, you mean a ground for each bank? I mention it only because you shouldn’t ground the ecu signal wire that controls firing on a three-wire coil. The ecu signal wire might look like and test like a ground, but it needs to run only through the ecu. If these are two wire coils...

    FYI: SCV6 cylinder numbering

Wow, that is terrible. Just FYI, I believe the out-of-spec condition must be related to the damage for them to deny the claim. Not sure how bigger tires could possibly cause a cylinder to get scored. Probably not to late to explore that angle if you were inclined to do so.

    Crossover pipe work

Not sure how you’d reach it without removing the supercharger. Maybe if you remove the windshield cowling - maybe disconnect the hood struts and let back on the windshield to get more room? At the very least, the wiring loom behind the supercharger needs to be removed, and that was probably...
