Throttle Body causing poor idle and throttle lag?

I do - somewhere??? It's on one of 3 computers. Start here and it may be easier to hit up your local Service Adviser with questions. http://www.tsbdata.com/tsb-land-rover.html

    NW Challenge Trip Report!!!

The charts seems wacky?? I just hope that this upgrade doesn't turn into one of those "don't fix it if it ain't broke" type of things for me. I can almost guarantee I'll snap one off and be in the same boat as you were!! I'll try to do this over the weekend. I haven't had a wrench in my hand or...

Throttle Body causing poor idle and throttle lag?

Todd - thanks for the invisible TB picture. Nice. There is a TSB for the "lag" when coming from a rolling (Hollywood/California) stop. It's a Transmission code patch that addresses the issue. Has the Tech considered the fuel injectors at all? Cracked, dirty or split o-rings?

    NW Challenge Trip Report!!!

Thanks for the heads-up on the bolt size Ryan. I'm not sure that I understand the grade rating on metric bolts though?? I'll talk to my specialty bolt guy and get the scoop. I'd like to upgrade the rating if possible.

Air Suspension Failed... what mods to do now?

Cheers to the peeps who get where I'm coming from. Congratulations on the new sales Greg. Who knows, maybe we can squash this over a case of Guinness some day. http://johnsonrods.com/ roflmao

Air Suspension Failed... what mods to do now?

I never said anything about legal or patent infringement. Trust me, I looked into this 3 years ago. The cost of a patent far outweighs the potential for the product. He has a fine product. I never said it was a POS. I have just reached the boiling point with the incessant self promotion of Greg...

Air Suspension Failed... what mods to do now?

Are you friggin' kidding me Greg?!?!?!? You sell the rods and have no idea about the entire system? It makes me sick that you're in the biz. You've not advanced the technology one bit with your product. All you've done is repackaged other people's efforts. Steal Toddco's stainless hoops. Steal...

    NW Challenge Trip Report!!!

Ooooofffff! That blows Ryan. Glad it was an easy fix. Do you remember the size bolt by any chance? I may carry a couple extra because most of my trips are solo, isolated and I don't have a Sat phone. The Challenge sounds really, really cool. We were supposed to have an event like that in NorCal...

    Side Protection Tubes

Try shooting Joe (Badfysh) a PM over on Lrrforums. He was involved in some sweet OE motor mounts. Hopefully he can shed some light on the subject. Doh!! My bad. I think it was BMR - not OE.

Air Suspension Failed... what mods to do now?

It's absolutely irresponsible that the J-rod dude has lead people to believe that installing his product is a "possible" solution to suspension faults. It has nothing to do with it. There was one occasion where a complete Noob lucked out by throwing them on. Now, being the marketing whore that...

    Best tires for LR3

The Zeon's are real nice. I ran the TG's for a while and decided to go more aggressive with the GY DuraTrac's. The TG's were fine for loose, dry, rocky conditions and they had a bulletproof sidewall! I spend much of my time in wet clay area's and the GY's work best there but they have a much...

    Lift Kit Anyone?

6.5" is a world away from a 2" lift. None of the issues mentioned come into play. The LR3/LR4 is engineered to operate just fine with a 2" lift. The CV angles are only slightly steeper than stock. There is not one single case that I know of for a CV failure due to a 2" lift. For the last poster...

    Mobile Winch

Better than nothing, I guess?? The major drawbacks are two things - 1. Inadequate load ratings for a Land Rover (3k, 4k, 6k) 2. Failures due to side-hill pulls. Most recoveries are some sort of side hill or off camber situation. Few recoveries happen directly in front of or directly behind.

    Lift Kit Anyone?

Sorry for the blatant plug. I'm the guy who fabricates up the Sasquatch Rods. There's a little info here on this board and a massive amount of info on the lrrforums site. You can also find my set at Lucky8 or PM me your questions and ordering info. There's also Toddco, who uses spacers and a...

How Many Miles Do You Have On Your Lr3 ???

06 SE V8 51K - no probs I chased the back seat rattle for 6 months. The seat heater wiring loom was loose and rattled on the underside of the seat frame. I used hockey stick tape on the frame and pushed the clip back on the frame lip (you'll understand when you see it). I also zip tied the...

Tow/recovery strap for LR3 - what weight rating?

Based on this logic, you must be kicking yourself for buying a Land Rover. Should've bought a Ford with Terrain Response instead. Sheeze. Enjoy your 40 dollar WalMart towstrap. Just don't hook up to my rig. That is all.

LR3 'churping' sound coming from dash

After 6 months of squeaking, I was finally able to pinpoint my sounds. (1) Graphite on the catch mechanism of the glove box. (2) Zip-Ties on the second row seat warmer wiring looms. (3) Light lithium grease on the second row hinge pins. (4) Re-Torquing (sp??) ALL the seat mounting bolts. Ahhhh...
