Question for those with a rodmod lift

The 20's are just over 31". You might be fine as is. Since you are considering a 50 aspect ratio for a sidewall, I assume you won't be going offroad anytime soon. The DUB crowd likes the "filled" wheel well and yours might look good out of the box. Definitely consider relocating the wiring...

    Mirror glass replacement help needed

Good luck with that. I replaced mine and it was simply a matter of dumb luck on re-installing the new glass. Just be patient and line the clips up as best as you can. I almost gave up right when I heard the magical "click" when it all goes together. The GF is no longer allowed to back the Rover...

    ARB Front Bumper

I've had mine for a few years as well. By the looks of all the scrapes and gouges from the rock gardens out here, it's definitely doing it's job! I agree with the statement that the access to the bulbs is less than convenient, but who cares? Once or twice a year I have to remove the side plates...

Rear Brakes- Aftermarket shop or Dealer?

I would stick to using only OEM pads. Many will recommend the Akebono pads. That's fine, but be sure to upgrade to new rotors at the same time. The Dealer will not turn your rotors, nor is it recommended due to the relative "thinness" of these. The brakes are a pretty simple process if you have...

Please help me validate my Experience with SF Bay Area Dealer

I would look at it this way...many European Countries are having to wait over a year for certain LR4's. RWC Land Rover is a good Dealership with great employee's. They are also one of our Club sponsors (NCLRclub.org). Paul is The Man in the Parts Dept and I hear great things about Brian (Service...

    Airbags wrongly deployed!

Ouch! This has popped up a few times and each time it has become a loooooooonnnnng drawn out process. The issue is...who pays for the new system? 15k or so. It would seem that the act of cresting the dune at an off angle (which is proper technique) is read by the computer as the precursor to a...

Question for those with a rodmod lift

LOL Rob! Yeah, I go low profile on a number of sites. Sometimes it's just fun to be a Member of a forum vs a Vendor. I'll shoot you a PM. Cheers, Dave

Air Filter location on 2006 Range Rover Supercharger

With the hood up and looking at the engine FROM the front, it is underneath the 1st covered compartment on your left. 7 or 8 phillips screws to loosen the cover and simply lift up to exchange the filter. 5 minute procedure. Check your Owners Manual for detailed pictures.

Question for those with a rodmod lift

Good questions Rob. I've lifted quite a few LR4's now and a full 2-1/2" looks funny because of the 19" or 20" options on tires. The big gap between the tire and the wheel arch makes the rig look like it's on it's tip-toes. 1-1/2" is just about right and will clear the tires no problem. I don't...

    Bushing/ Tie Rod ?

If you feel a clunk in the steering wheel, it's most likely an intermediate shaft issue related to the steering column. Clunking not felt in the steering wheel usually leads to the 1. lower control arms 2. Anti-Roll Bar bushings 3. Upper control arms (more rare) or a combo of the previously...

    Suspension Fault

Keep in mind that when the rig drops down to the bumpstops, it's usually not due to a loss of pressure in the air tank or a failed compressor. The purge happens at the valve blocks. If you don't pressurize upstream of the blocks, odds are that nothing will happen. I would think that you would...

    Suspension Fault

In theory, the Fastkit system sounds plausible. I just hesitate to believe the hype due to the required psi to inflate the bags. Our systems rely on pressure, not volume for inflation. At 215psi or whatever it actually is, your standard compressor or "gas station" will not be able to fully...

    Using command shift

According to the Land Rover Driving Instructors, command shift is THE preferred method for city driving as it minimizes the hundreds of computer shifting operations and decisions per mile - ie; extends the life of your transmission. I had a specific conversation relating to this with Lea McGee...

Well THAT didn't take long part deux!

This is a weird rig for sure. Once the battery loses 100% efficiency, strange things happen. HDC, Limited Gears Available, Special Programs Not Available... Things that you would never suspect from a simple thing as a battery. This is a heavily reliant vehicle on the battery and charging system.

Well THAT didn't take long part deux!

Mike, Do NOT discount the power of a failing battery. These rigs rely on optimal battery performance in order to operate on typical levels. Don't be convinced of ANY solution until it's checked out properly.

    Suspension Fault

Sometimes it's difficult to get a quick answer via the Search function. Your symptoms have been thoroughly covered multiple times. Search Height Sensor, Compressor, Brake Switch, Rear Brake Bulbs or Failed Battery. It's possible that you may have one or the other or a combination of issues. It's...

    Suspension replacement?

To my knowledge, there is no way to convert the LR3/LR4/RRS Air Suspension System to a coil system. Terrain Response, Traction Control, HDC and Ride Height are all interwoven into the many CPU's. It would take a ton of time and money just to start. someone in SoCal tried but was left with a 6k...
