What lift do I want? Please help!

I think shortened rods whether Johnson, Sasquatch, or DIY are a great idea if you want to get a bit of lift. All I know is that I shortened my first set of rods 12 mm and even with the alignment my rear tires were not setting right (new normal mode). I took another 2mm off to 10 and they were...

What lift do I want? Please help!

Either way, fronts or rears, you want your tire treads to rest as flat as possible in your new normal height if you are going to run them full time.

What lift do I want? Please help!

USA, if your rear tires bow in at regular height. That means the rods are too short. I made this mistake on my first set I modified. Rear tires can be aligned to a cerrain point, but if they still bow inwards at normal height then your looking at irregular tire wear and handling issues. 10 mm...

    Child safety seat locations?

Yep, just read the manual. Thanks for the correction RvDUB. Middle seat does not have the LATCH system. I stand corrected. Mr. Big's set up looks pretty good. Putting the seat on the outer seats still gives me the creeps though, that side impact thing is definately something to consider.

    Child safety seat locations?

J-Man, I would FIND a way to anchor that child seat in the middle of the back seat somehow. There should be no "sacrificing" when it comes to your childs safety. It would be a very bad thing if you got T-boned with the seat mounted behind the driver or passenger seats. Unless you have two...

Maybe heat? Hood heats up, rear hatch does not.

    Hood letters - coating?

Mine started peeling after 3 yrs of ownership. I wash my truck by hand and don't use an electric buffer which is what the dealer accused me of. My garage door has windows so it does get a lot of sun. That might be the reason for mine peeling.

    Hood letters - coating?

I would just replace them. I think if you try to touch them up they won't look good no matter how careful you are. My $.02.

    Hood letters - coating?

Some dealers, including mine will swap them out for you if your truck is still under warranty. I had this done a couple of months ago.
