How many years did you get out of your OEM battery?
I think it'd be wise to replace it. x2 on the Sears Marine. I got mine replaced under warranty when the LR3 was 3 years old I think. -

I tried something new today. I used my pressure washer, but held it back so it was a fine mist. Minimal volume of water on the engine...which was good. I'll post pics later! -

A few oil questions
This oil change since I already had the stuff on hand (Castrol 5W30 and Pureolator filter) I used that. Next I might do the syn stuff. -

I did some research on that aspect...and came to the conclusion that it would be ok. It's not like I never changed the oil in it. My main thing was if anyone got any weird noises or leaks. -

Thinking about switching to synthetic in my 07 LR3 4.4. Got about 77k on it now. The switch seems like it would save money. Dino I do 5k@ $35 per, synthetic I'd do 10k (thoughts?) @ $50-$60. So I'd save a bit there. Would there be any issues in putting it in the LR3? Would it harm the seals or... -

Airbag SRS indicator light on
I had that light in my 05 Durango and it would turn it's self off. I'd get it once a year or so, but it'd always turn off after a few minutes. -

I'd go with the 06's. Best compromise...not the first year issues nor the higher miles of the 07's. -

DCS debate: on or off when offroading
When I took my LR3 to the Badlands, in the sand dunes I had to shut it off. It wouldn't allow me any wheel spin. It would start slowing down and killed the momentum. Turned it off and went a lot further. In the mud pits it was ok either way. But in the soft stuff, I turn it off. Just my... -

My Love/Hate relationship with LR
^^^^Good one!!! To me, I don't care about resale or depreciation...cars aren't an investment to me. They are to take me places (and with LR's...to places most can't go!) Go buy some stocks if you want an investment. -
