Will I miss the locking differential?
i think the locking rear diff is a little overblown........yea it sounds like a good thing, but what do drivetrain engineers actually think........i want to see some actual real world examples where the lack of locking rear diff lr4 couldn't go somewhere the locking rear diff lr4... -

got in a few more miles.....and seems like this check engine light issue just might be fixed.....still frustrated with land rover north america interaction.....but also still like the lr4 more than a new jeep or the toyota landcruiser......these i think are the only real competitors to the LR4... -

lexus, is still prob most reliable, just so darn bland to me.......my service tech says he heard they are bringing defender to the us...as a much simpler, all about reliability/dependability, not a gazillion sensors kind of vehicle......more talk about a 2013ish diesel lr4...everybody it seems... -

well they replaced some additional parts in the engine, and it is working for now.....the service manager drove it home overnight, about 70 miles round trip and so far no more check engine light......still don't have a feeling of confidence..... I feel i now have a good relationship with... -

yea, if i bought this from the cheapest place that came up on a google search, at an unheard of low price, i would expect this kind of service.......I just cant believe a luxury brand can behave this way and stay competitive and profitable.......I am a every few year gotta have a new car... -

at this point, I am so disheartened by my experience that I just want a refund.............I can't find any sense of confidence in the vehicle, the brand or there handing of this case........maybe a thoughtful courteous response that gets results could change my mind, but I am doubtful............. -

thanks for your input......there is a very good sample demand letter from my state attorney general web site for the state lemon law......I have drafted a letter following this guideline. I will try and get it reviewed by a local attorney tomorrow......but it reads extremely well as is... -

the land rover rep, refuses to talk to me...............will only work through the liason.........and also refuses to replace or buy back the lr4, he wants to still see of the can repair it....as they have now replaced the solenoid thing and still check engine light is on.......... -

a not good update so, 10 days after land rover north america contact, and still no resolution.....lr4 tsb repair was done again with updated oil seperator part and did not fix problem.......now they think it is the cam solenoid leaking oil onto the sensor......so have ordered it, and supposed... -

no traffic.......go to sirius.com and it will tell you what cars have traffic capability...... dealer has to do update.....you might try calling navteq and get a price.... -

well thanks for your support on the issue.....my states lemon laws state after 3 repair attempts , and then one last chance and then they have to replace it.....or 30 days out of service...by my calculations monday will be day 23..... there really is no other vehicle I like.....for me jeep or... -

this is now my 3rd time to have this code.........had in the shop for 2 weeks to do the tsb repair, and after about 1500 miles engine light is back on, with this code..... needles to say frustrating...... put in a call to land rover usa customer service, and have a ticket for vehicle... -

Considering an LR4
I so would like to have a set of those tires you have.....unfortunately i have read not available in us any longer.....they look great on your lr4.......have you thought about driving lights -

New LR4 owner and cam sensor fault within 2 days
my lr 4 in shop for 2 weeks, went deep into the engine to perform tsb on this cam sensor issue, and the check engine light is back on today with the same code.....about 1500 miles after the repair.....
