    Off Road Fail

Jim, do you have the HiCountry Sliders? If so, could you post a few pics? I have been looking into those but hadn't heard much about them. Your refering the the guy up in Evergreen, CO right?

I just did Bunce School and Ironclads this afternoon and had a great time. Bunce was pretty easy(Subaru could do it), but Ironclads had a couple fun sections that needed spotting and "play hill" was a tough obsticle. While I was up there, I found an old mining road that I don't think anyone...

    expedition rack install

Not sure why its quiet, but unless your at 80mph plus, there is just a slight wind rushing noise. It isn't any worse than the yakima rack I have on our jeep. There is no whistling at all, which is better than all the racks I have had on other cars. I didn't install the plastic covers for the...

Bunce and Ironclads sounds fun. Maybe Middle St. Vrain and Coney Flats will be open for a little extra challenge as well. I haven't done any of these yet, so it all sounds great. I have done Left Hand Canyon a lot lately and unfortunately all the fun runs have a lot of Rocky Mountain Pin...

How about the Liquor Mart parking lot on Canyon and 15th. It's a big lot that should be too busy in the morning. How about 10:00am?

    suspension fault advise please

There are a lot of things that can cause that, but it is generally not random unless you have a suspension mod. I would have it checked out soon. I have had a couple due to bad sensors.

I am interested as well. I am in Louisville. Black LR3 with Coopers and Expedition Rack. Does anyone know if Jenny Creek, Coney Flats or Middle S. Vrain is open yet? I tried Jenny Creek two weekends ago and there were impassable snowbanks before I got to the trailhead. I am thinking about...

    Tire Advice

That's BS. I just picked up a set of four a couple months ago and a matching spare late last month. Their web page has never shown the 285/60, but if you go into the shop, they can get it for you.

    Funny Issues

So I have had the LR3 at the shop for a dashboard squeek and a couple other minor issues. I dropped by this afternoon to do a test run with the foreman(really great guy) and we couldn't recreate the squeek. On the test drive, my driver side seat stopped working which I thought was kind of...

    expedition rack install

Got it installed last night. It only took about 25 minutes. Thanks, for the help. It actually is super quiet on the highway and I can open the sunroof without a jet engine sound like before. The only downside is that it does block a lot of light coming into the cabin. All in all I am quite...

    expedition rack install

I am picking up the LR expedition rack this afternoon from a guy on Craigslist for $400. He says they took it off day 1, stored it in their garage and never used it. Good deal I guess. Does anyone know if there are any difficulties installing this thing? Mainly, I am concerned about how to...

    Steering wheel Airbag cover curl

My third row seat (when closed) rattles over bumps as well. I was told by the dealer that they couldn't fix it and it was just the design... It is so annoying in my opinion. If anyone knows a fix, please do tell...

    Onboard Air(using LR3's existing compressor)

I thought about some of the comments here and it seems to make more sense to remove the connector and replace it with the stock bolt when not needing the on board air for an emergency. It is really easy to swap in the connector I built when needed and this way, there is no risk of hitting it on...

    Onboard Air(using LR3's existing compressor)

I do have a cap for the coupling to prevent dirt from getting inside. I took it off for the pictures. You can attach the hose by kneeling next to the car and doing it by feel. I don't plan on using it more than a couple times a month at the most. For me, it will mainly be for airing up the...

    Onboard Air(using LR3's existing compressor)

I took it over the Flatirons LR and showed the guys in the shop after I finished. They thought is was pretty cool and made no mention of warranty issues. Plus, I kept the old plug so that I can put it back in if need be.

    Onboard Air(using LR3's existing compressor)

Not sure what the sizes are, but the part that connects to the compressor is part# 10M20F8OMXS from McCoy Sales Corp in Louisville, CO. The part has a metric end for the compressor and a 1/2 inch male end on the other side.

    Onboard Air(using LR3's existing compressor)

I had the day off today, so I decided to pick up a full size spare and check out a few of the 4x4 shops in the area for toys. After trying, unsuccessfully, to fit the inflated Cooper Zeons under the car, I decided that I needed some way to fill the spare back up if I ever need to use it. I...

Is a moderate size tank(5lb) with a 135psi stored faster than a small compressor?

    On board air (cheap)

So after experiencing the significant benefits of airing down, I now need to figure out a better way of airing back up. So far, I have been able to find someone with onboard air at the trailhead that is kind enough to lend me their compressor... I looked at some compressor options, but they...

Which Ladder Do You Like Best?

The Rover Racks ladder has that funny flat piece at the top of the ladder that I really don't like the look of. I wish they would have made that top section more like the OEM. I can't decide if the utility of the bottom step makes up for its overly large look though...
