    I'm selling the Coiler

Mr. Woods, I am sorry to read of your future loss. I don't think I did any of my mods without taking your advice into consideration. Thanks for all the tips and info you have provided over the past four years. Hope you stick around the board for a while. Your advice is very much appreciated.

    LR3 rod mod

I have had mine on since February and no problems yet. However the LR3 is not my daily driver. Weekends with the family and one trail per month in my opinion justify me leaving them on full time. Other opinions may vary.

    Now I'm worried...my first LR3 glitch!

Mrs. Laura, does your LR3 still have the original battery in it?

    Beach LR3 ?

I have not heard of anybody driving on IB. That is the only beach in San Diego county that I don;t have a lot of experience with.

Twice offroad once in the shop

Your best bet IMHO would be to buy brakes direct from stealer, then either do them yourself or take them to a mechanic you trust to save some labor costs. Might save you a couple hundred.

    Beach LR3 ?

There is "Day Parking" close to the water line at San Onofre. But all over night camping is up on the bluffs.

    Beach LR3 ?

No beaches in San Diego County that I know of anyway, will let you drive right up on to the sand. If you have a military backgroung Camp Pendleton has some beaches you can drive to park on, but I would check that as well.

    Dick Cepek

I thought so too, but the reviews that I read said they didn't perform that great. What were they again? about $350 a tire right?

Rod Mod - Whose are best?

I have been running it since late Febuary with no problems or un-even tire wear. You do have to slow down a little especially on circular on/off ramps.

    Problems With the LR3

If you are not going to take it off pavement I would recommend Lexus LX or BMW X5.

    Removable tow hitch issue

huelsmma, you have to 1. insert and turn key 2. pull out green knob, turn green knob until it locks into place. 3. push up into receiver. If you did it right you will hear a big "clank" sound.

    Transfer Case

I would sell mine for scrap before I paid 9k for a T-case.

Wanting to put lift and tires on LR3

Extended mode with rod-mod. This is as high as it gets. 31.7" BFG's.

Wanting to put lift and tires on LR3

Yep, no problems with mine and I run it full time.

Wanting to put lift and tires on LR3

Yeah, I would think you could only go so high with these trucks. I think if we start putting too much lift on them the wheels will start to bow inward. I have noticed this with the rod-mod when in new extended mode.

    Park Brake Fault

I think it's because when you parked on an incline or decline you don't want the weight of the vehicle resting on the transmission.

    Steering stop noise

Mr. Hell, does the wheel vibrate as well at full turn?

    Park Brake Fault

At first it happened maybe every 20th application. By the end of April it was about every 5th time. If yours only acts up once a month then it might be something that can wait until your next service. But I would definately have them look at it then. ev DD

    Park Brake Fault

Worry no. Yes to loud, nasty grinding noise after applying the brake with faults and all. After re-boot it would go away for a few applications then would pop up at the worst times like rolling up to a valet w/ wife. Everyone would turn thier head and wonder what kind of piece of s#!t is...

    Park Brake Fault

Houm, just had my truck in for the same problem. It was the parking brake actuator, it needed to be recalibrated was all. At first it only happened once in a while, but then started happening more frequently so I had them look at it my next service date. Hope this helps. DD
