    Thanks

Nice of you to say David, everything OK? Sounds like like you had a traumatic event.

    Pics of New sliders

That's a great pic man. As much fun as I have on the rocks and in the sand out here in San Diego, it would be pretty cool to have a drive in the snow once in a while. When it does snow in our local mountains, by the time I can get out there it's gone!

Going out by yourself no matter how easy the trail is not recommended. IMHO

Try To Keep The Abuse to a Minimum . . .

Definately a buy/modify as you go process. Tires: Got A/T's AFTER I tore the crap out of my stock Goodyears. Sliders: Got sliders AFTER I tore the crap out plastic sill covers. Skids: Got skids AFTER I dented in my gas tank to where if I took one more good shot, I would have had...

    Air suspension options?

Penguin, The reason that there is not a huge demand for this is that they really don't fail that often. As stated above these systems have been pretty dependable. I felt the same way you did when I first bought my LR3. But after making it out of the "styx" time after time without incident...

Jacking the LR3 with RS Sliders

OK now I understand. Like said in previous posts, a sturdy piece of wood between the jack and sliders will prevent that in the future.

Jacking the LR3 with RS Sliders

As I raised the jack, I saw the slider start to bend as the weight of the truck came down on it. Ken, What sliders are you running? They began to bend? What would happen if you slid down at an angle onto a rock?

Jacking the LR3 with RS Sliders

Congrats on your purchase, I use piece of wood between the jack and the slider so I can jack it up from any point. That said, one end of the slider front or back are my favorite points.

    Rear Bumper

OK, well start there with the mods. Bumpers and such perform a lesser function than a good set of tires and some sliders.

    Rear Bumper

David, did you hook up with SCLR? They are going on the 20th. Great trail to cut your teeth on. I am planning on going then. BTY I would'nt replace your rear bumber unless you tear it off. Those "plastic shreds" hanging off the back distinguish you from the grocery getters. Leave them be.
