    Steep hills with loose gravel

Depending on how loose. If it's really loose, I'd say sand mode/ low range. Better spin and more power on demand to prevent digging in. The hallmark of the grass/g/s is slower acceleration/higher gearing which could get you stuck in loose stuff. If it's not so loose, I'd try rock crawl in...

    Adding"one touch" window feature?

I see the '07 model has one touch window operation for both front windows. Anyone know if this feature is merely a function of changing out the switches and, if so, has anyone tried it?

    Water Leak

My build date was 3/05. Dealer returned my LR3 in one day stating the A/C drain was constricted-now supposed to be fixed. Here's hoping he's right. Got a free wash out of it anyway.

    Water Leak

Build date should be on the sticker on the driver's door. My LR3 is in the shop now-- promised back to me in an hour. I think my build date is Feb or May '05. I'll repost it tonight. BTW, dealer service says it was an air conditioner drain that caused my wet floor this time. Who knows? I...

    Water Leak

Discovered after returning from a 750 mile Memorial Day weekend trip that I've got a wet passenger side floor again. I had this issue when I first bought my truck last October, and was told that a sun roof drain was clogged with a piece of foam. I'm seeing the dealer tomorrow, and will have...

what did the terra grappler people do

I went with the smaller 55 profile Terra Grapplers. I gave up 1/2 inch of clearance for a spare that fits and no rubbing whatsoever. So far I have not missed the half inch. (Of course who knows what my wife thinks about this?!!) Nor have I noticed any problems with the inaccuracy of my...

    Oil changes

Roverman: I was told the same as you by my dealer. I went ahead and paid for the 3000 mi. (more like 3200 actually) change myself, as I'm a confirmed 3000 mile guy ( I think its the single most important thing you can do to increase engine life and I usually keep my vehicles 9-10 years). It's...

    cross country drive

Hi Alan- I obviously did not measure, but I believe the slope of the sand wall that I climbed was about 30-35 degrees and that it was about 75-100 feet long. I did not get much of a running start (although I did get some), since I had to descend the opposite slickrock wall of a wash and then...

    cross country drive

Hi Amir: Good luck on your cross country trip. I’m sure you will find your LR3 more than capable, as I did mine. I hope you get to do some 4-wheeling here in Utah if you are in the Moab area. While my trip was not right by Moab (across the river about 70 miles west of there), I’ll share my...

Yes, if you want to preserve the functionality of the OEM head unit, which is integrated with the OEM amp by a series of fiber optics.

    Sub Woofer not functional??

    Sub Woofer not functional??

I checked my invoice for my stereo upgrade and it does not itemize the prices for separate components. They installed a Cleansweep unit, Alpine SPX-177R speakers in the front doors, SPR-17LS speakers in the rear doors and the amp was an Alpine MRV-F345. The Morel subwoofwer is model no. Elate...

    Sub Woofer not functional??

I'm out of town for a couple days, so I'll have to get you more specific info when I return and check my invoice. I got the Morel from a high end car stereo shop (Car Concepts in Salt Lake) and it was about $500- not cheap. The amp is a MRV-545. It was installed under the passenger seat...
