How do you remove shifter on 2006 LR3

I think it just snaps on and off. A sharp pull upward should do it. When my dealer installed my bluetooth PTI the shift knob was loose when they returned the car to me. It actually came right off when I pulled it. I asked the service tech to come out and fix it and all he did was push it...

    Sub Woofer not functional??

I replaced my rear sub with a Morel "Elate" 9"sub which fit in the space for the OEM sub in the tailgate and it sounds much better than the OEM model. I also have it powered with an auxiliary Alpine amplifier so it kicks. Pictures won't help you because my install is in the same location as...

    The LR3 Wave

I have often had other drivers wave or at least nod- there is a bond among us.

    Wiper Blades

Is there a reason you went with the Microedge for the rear? Is it a fitment issue? I notice that the OEM blades are different front/rear- so maybe that's the answer.

Hold the RTFM comments - how do u..

My favorite command is "Navigation: Warp factor 3. Engage." to which the polite response is most always "Command not recognised." I do this after the voice command embarasses me with new riders in the truck. I actually think that the voice stuff works better when I'm driving alone-either...

Hold the RTFM comments - how do u..

Tap the screen twice in rapid succession. A POI button will appear on the screen. Navigate it and you will be offered an option to cancel (delete)POI's. You can also use the voice commands to cancel them- read the manual.

Confused About the 'Blue Tooth' Phone Option

Yes, I would push for the OEM PTI since it offers better integration with the LR3 than an aftermarket kit. As Grommet says- they added the phone paddles on the right side of the steering wheel as part of the kit. Upon pressing the green paddle, the system listens for me to say "phone"-repeats...

Confused About the 'Blue Tooth' Phone Option

My dealer installed the add-on PTI on my 2005 SE. The Bluetooth works as Grommet said-full Bluetooth integration- phone mutes radio-plays through radio speakers and radio volume controls phone volume-voice recognition dialing-steering wheel controls operable, but no integration with the radio...

Mud flaps or not? Loadspace mat or not? Full mat?

I guess that's a good point, but it protects well for other uses, like standing on the tailgate to load bikes on the roof rack or for using the 'gate as a camping kitchen. My dog is too old to jump up anyway- so he rides on a towel spread over the 2nd row seat.

Mud flaps or not? Loadspace mat or not? Full mat?

I bought a plastic carpet runner (for putting down in a hallway-clear plastic with little grips on the bottom to prevent sliding). I cut it into a shape to cover the tailgate with tin shears. I store it under the rubber loadspace mat and slide it out to cover the tailgate when needed. It...

    Terrrain Response - Amazing

Try using the Hill Descent in Snow/Grass/ Gravel mode- I've found it works great on snowy downhills where there is a risk of being unable to stop. It must use the transmission gearing together with the antilock brakes to slow the truck from the way it behaves for me..

    Off Road Tire Options

I was in the grass- snow terrain response mode and pushed the yellow hill descent button from that mode - so it works in terrain response modes other than rock crawl. I could clearly feel and hear the antilocks working and and the tranny must have dropped to 1st gear as the brakes did not appear...

    Off Road Tire Options

My update on the smaller 255-55R-18 Terra Grapplers- I love 'em. We received about 8" of snow after rain iced up the roads here in the Wasatch foothills last weekend and I had to go out and play. Some of the streets in my area are steep, with grades as high as 14% in places. I had no problem...

Major Mileage Issue - Under 12mpg

As to octane, and sorry if this has been beaten to death already, I understand that lower octane is appropriate at high altitude, where it may not be closer to sea level. I was told where I live to use 87 octane and to put in a tank of 91 every 4th tank or so. I have not noticed a difference...

    Water Leak

My truck was returned to me in one day with the explanation that a piece of foam had clogged the passenger side sunroof drain and that it should now be fine. They apparently even dried the carpet out, as it is no longer soaking wet. I hope that solves the problem. Too bad for the problem, but...

Major Mileage Issue - Under 12mpg

I'm only at 1200 miles, but I'm getting 13.1 on my commute (1/2 city-1/2 freeway and lots of ups and downs) and about 18 in freeway only driving. I'm using 87 octane fuel per my dealer's recommendation, driving at 4200 feet above sea level. I think it matters greatly not only your driving...

    Water Leak

Well, I guess I've joined the club! After 1100 miles on my 2005 LR3 SE7, I've experienced the water leak into the front passenger area carpet. I can't determine the source, as all of the carpet under the floor mat is sopping wet. My truck hasn't been in any real rain yet, but I've washed it...
