I will add that I use to not have one in my full size spare and yes you get low pressure warning and maybe( I can't remember for sure) a message that the sensor is not detected, when it is on the car. Off-road you usually have your tires aired down so you have the warning anyway until you air... -

Will I need a new suspension air compressor eventually?
There is only one. It keeps a resevoir tank full that is used to adjust, level, raise or lower the vehicle. Hard to say if you will need one or not. Mine has never skipped a beat in my 06 at 47,000 miles and a lot of use offroad. I see them for sale new and used all the time on ebay so I... -

Dumb noob question regarding auto suspension adjustment
There isn't one. It will only raise into off-road height if you hit the switch or if you are in low gear and choose an offroad program. -
