2012 LR4 Speaker Replacement
Normally the amps are tuned so they don't blow the speakers, but the stereo in the LUX package is pretty strong. My Radio Shack decibel meter hit 115 db around volume level ~55 inside while driving. Replacing spare tire jack?
That is a beauty, the best fit and plenty tall lol. I'd like a floor jack. Not sure where I'd put it, most of the time I have the back seats down and dedicating space to mount a floor jack would be hard. I'd like to mount a battery pack back there somewhere too. I was rotating tires and the LR needed to swap with the RF so I jack the RF way up, set a stand under the frame and then jacked the left rear. Yeah, don't be in off-road height and turn off sand mode into normal mode and expect everything to be fine lol. A big skid plate would suffice, plenty of room and backing to mount one properly.- powershift

I read the Duratracs get loud after they start wearing, probably not a huge deal but to have them still quiet is better. Dig those tires and the side wall looks pretty strong given the tearing. I've long thought that USA tires held up better in general. My Continental tires are made in Portugal and South Africa, all the same 4X4 Contact model. Those AT3's look promising, 130 MPH rating too...- powershift

I like the tread pattern on the DuraTrac, seems like a good AT. I'd like the white lettering out on mine, old school. I liked the white wall tires and lettering when it was popular decades ago. 2011 LR4 HSE oil question
The way I check mine is to follow the instructions in the manual which is to wait 10 minutes. The gauge will read overfull if you have too much. Lots of people do it different ways, but I want my sump full at all times since I off-road a lot. The engine may drink a surprising amount of oil too...- powershift

LR4 air conditioning blows hot air
How much is a fair price to have it professionally filled? My AC blows cool when 115F, but its not cold. It blows cold under 100F though. Not sure if that could be fixed so it blows cold at 115F?- powershift

For 19" rims they offer 245/45R19 instead of 255/55/R19. What tires are you going to next? I never said my LR4 does well off-road because of using street tires.- powershift

The transmission could use a stronger cooler. Been thinking about adding one because I off-road when its hot asf, 46+ C. Lots of slow speed crawling, lots of forward, reverse and maneuvering. Yeah, plenty of use there. In Vegas my AC seemed worthless. But realistically I'd probably die on the freeway in traffic without it. Hypothetically, if the bolts were re-used and already stretched then there could be the over-torque condition and strain the metal at the end of the cam weakening it.
