For 19" rims they offer 245/45R19 instead of 255/55/R19. What tires are you going to next? The Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus are in our sizes. Its my 3rd summer with these (though I have to say it will be the last summer) I replace them long before they are bald.
I never said my LR4 does well off-road because of using street tires."I'm finding on the LR4 street tires do so well offroad that I might as well lean towards street when compromising dirt/street"
I think you have it wrong.
Your Rover is so good, it is doing well off-road despite your street tires - not because of them.
No, you don't need LT rating.
Just get a decent XL rated, AT Tire and you will be amazed at how much better it becomes off-road.
You won't even sacrifice much on-road behavior or MPG.
My first set of Wildpeaks lasted 60k miles!
Dig those tires and the side wall looks pretty strong given the tearing. I've long thought that USA tires held up better in general. My Continental tires are made in Portugal and South Africa, all the same 4X4 Contact model. Those AT3's look promising, 130 MPH rating too. https://www.toyotires.com/product/open-country-at3/Friend took a bad line and gouged out the sidewall of my Toyo Open Country AT3. No issues. Drove it off the trail and 300 miles back home yesterday. Will get it replaced either way, but it held up.
Was aired down to 20 PSI.
I read the Duratracs get loud after they start wearing, probably not a huge deal but to have them still quiet is better. My '08 Z06 came with Goodyears on it and they put two layers of tire compound in the tire mold. A sticky outer layer and then after a few thousand miles its a less sticky compound. You can't see the change though, there is still plenty of tread. Tricky mofos, not fair. It would spin the tires in 3rd when it wasn't doing that before and thats how I found out lol. How many miles do you have on the AT3's?Worn to the wear bars they are also super quiet still... I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. I'm looking at buying the Open Country AT3 EV tire for my Rivian as well, once my OEM tires wear down more.
