just did the job this past friday, pretty straight forward, pulled the wipers off by renting a tie rod puller from oreilly's and they came off pretty easily (california car up until recently). then pull the -pillar trim off, remove the top of the battery and braking system compartment covers so...- Jimmy Brooks

Where does this line connect?
that coolant hose is supposed to go to the throttle body. the fitting is located directly under the throttle body, when i did a valve decarb I found the easiest way to connect that is to unbolt the throttle body from the manifold, connect it, then bolt it back up to the intake manifold.- Jimmy Brooks

Lift Question
When I got my wheels and tired originally I recalibrated the whole air suspension system and either put it half and inch or a full inch higher all the way around to make the ride height match the look of the bigger tires. I have the 5.0L. When I replaced mine they looked perfectly fine but the noise stopped when I replaced them. Wouldn’t know anything about the bypass valve for the supercharger though. This is the exact sound my LR4 made when the PCV went bad. I’ll drop a YouTube video of it. Go plug the little pinhole on your PCV valve and see if the car starts freaking out and running weirdly and making a whining noise.- Jimmy Brooks

Loud wailing noise when hot after injector swap
Where do you hear the whine? If it’s on the passenger side toward the back of the engine it could be PCV valves. When my PCV valves went bad it would make a squeaking noise right after I shut it off. Take a video of the noise.- Jimmy Brooks

oil leak onto exhaust manifold
Your correct. I need to change mine and have all the parts for it. Only thing holding me back is the fear of breaking an injector while pulling them. If you mess it up the head has to come off… @powershift is correct too, engine bay is pretty narrow and I’m sure some of those valve cover bolts...- Jimmy Brooks

Stalling
mine runs 416 and above at idle. it can be higher if its above 87 degrees and the car idles high at 1000-1100 RPM to boost the compressor and the viscus fan. Might have a bad fuel pump, low pressure pump can cause the high pressure pumps to run low PSI. Do you have the SCV6 or the 5.0L- Jimmy Brooks

Lr4 coolant bleed valve screw

Paint Cost
Agreed, the plastics are a pain. Mine has a bit of haze over the top of the fender flares. It has a bit on the top of the rear bumper but my detailer did a great job of making it better. My money is on rods. Seems like most of the damage remains in the combustion chambers and usually doesn’t leave the block from the the chain horror stories I’ve heard. Additionally I don’t think I’ve ever heard of the bottom of the block opening up from a timing issue. Doesn’t mean it couldn’t...- Jimmy Brooks
