Disappointed in Wix
Interesting to me that on the FCP web site, the only filter they list as NOT being made in China is the Hengst. Mann, UFI, and even "Genuine Land Rover" all list China as the origin. -

Glad, in a sad way, that I’m not alone. What is considered a good filter then? Go strict JLR, or Hengst, Purolator, Mahle, or…? And how do you know you’re not getting counterfeit? Amazon lists Hengst filters from Atlantic British for $18, but at the actual AB web site, they don’t even list that... -
Disappointed in Wix
Changed the oil yesterday at around 4k miles but over a year, and when I pulled the filter, it left the bottom plastic in the filter housing, and left me staring at the state of the adhesive on the filter. Makes me wonder if the adhesive had given out some time ago. -

Amazon camera, mounted to the spare rack with a piece of heater hose so it pokes out of the center of the spare. You can see the vinyl tube encasing the cable where it joins the bumper at the hinge point at lower right. -

Well, amazingly, Clarkson's alignment wasn't really off by much. He had a little too much toe-in, but TBH it seemed like .35 degrees was within reason. Given how hard that hit was, I'm impressed by the tires as well as the suspension. -

Yeah, alignment already scheduled. Bushings seemed OK, or at least there was no fluid leaking or anything like that. -

There is some good advice on this forum about how to keep the vehicle reliable. One of the things you will want to look for is advice on how to replace the coolant crossover pipes if that was not already done and is needed for whatever engine you have. -

Brake fluid flush

Geez… Land Rover Portland won’t even talk on the phone with me about the trouble codes, TSBs or the extended coverage on the O2 sensors unless I bring it in. Which is fine, but… I live 30 miles from there, and I have to drop off the vehicle, can’t wait around for it, and it could be anywhere... -

It’s better, but not night and day. IIRC, you can request different focuses for the tune, and I focused a bit more on the mileage side than the giddy up side. I can’t say it helped my mileage drastically, either. -

Tricks for getting the facia off of the front seats?
Hey, all. I’d like to mount some electronics under one of the front seats. But the plastic panel that sits behind your ankles when driving that presumably gives you access to that area…is there a trick to getting that off without breaking whatever tabs are holding it?
