Good post. Wife's 16' has 41k miles. I might look into replacing. What a crap design. My 496HO engine has a similar design coolant crossover. Guess what? It's aluminum with an o ring bolted flange where it mounts to cylinder head. It does not go bad. -

Our 29' Velocity. 4500lbs dry, trailer is another 1000lbs. Hyd surge brakes. Stock LR hitch setup. I tow the boat with wife's LR4 and my 5.3 Sierra. While the 5.3 V8 makes more hp and torque, it's all above 4400rpms+. The torque curve on the SCV6 is stronger at anything below 4000rpms and... -

Supercharger Rattle?
Yeah I would not drive that anymore. Aren't you running a smaller pulley for more boost? That Eaton sc is marginal at stock boost. -

Pet or Cargo divider options?
Yep same here. Works great to keep the dogs in cargo area. As stated, the 2nd row can still be folded to access cargo area. It can be removed in a couple mins if you need the 3rd row. -

Wife' LR4 had the LR rubber liners as an option. They do the job fine. WeatherTech floor liners are the best IMO. -

16' LR4 21K miles. Getting the factory battery replaced thurs. If it sits for a couple days it won't start. -

SCV6 engine noise help
Wife's LR4 SCV6 does not sound like that. Not normal IMO. Find another dealer. If not satisfied, call Land Rover Corporate and complain. Under warranty? -

Who wants oil!
Most JLR dealers only stock the 0W20 as it's backwards compatible for the older V8 5W20 combo. -

LR4 Tailgate Chirp Sound
FYI to anyone experiencing this noise..... Sounds like a baby bird chirping when driving over rough roads or potholes. Audible on the inside of vehicle. Dealer fixed over the weekend. Q638 Bulletin. Replaced upper tailgate wedges, lower tailgate striker bar and plate. No more chirping... -

LR4 Seats and Interior rattles
Our 16' has a horrible squeak from the rear area. I've isolated the seats and think It's coming from the rear hatch. Need to have the wife drive while I search. It drives me nuts. It's her DD, she turns up the radio. -

Pirelli Scorpion Zero
Followup.... Went with Michelin Defender LTX MS in stock 255/50/20. Must say this tire is better in every category vs the Pirelli's. Wow, are they quiet inside the cab. These should have come as factory tires. -

Enjoy the benefits of a new low mileage vehicle! Our 16 has 17k miles. Same deal oil/filter changes once per year. Change your cabin air filter if you have not. -

SAE 0W-20 STJLR.51.5122 is the correct grade and spec for your engine. There are only a few oils that meet this spec.... Castrol Professional Edge E 0w20 Fuchs Titan GT1 EVO 0w20 There is one other but can't remember. My 16' is under warranty and I use the correct oil and document it just... -

2016 LR4 - Best Cabin Replacement Filter
Per JLR its part of yearly service. I also used the Mann filter. From amazon was great priced and a 5min install.
